  • Been to a couple PGA tournaments, and many Senior events.  Free drinks were great, as was the food buffets.  And I got to talk to players on the practice range.  Enjoy your time there, and don’t worry about your posts tomorrow!  They will still be funny!

I am hoping.  We talked to the AD for about an hour on just watches in general.  Movements, styles, brands we like.  Even talked about a favorite of mine, G-Shocks.  The AD was really cool and extremely knowledgeable.  He has been in the business long before the boom, and could tell he just enjoys watches. No matter the outcome, I enjoyed the conversation and will be back in a few months when they get their new Tudor display.  Black Bay 58 is pretty sweet too.
Agree- love the navy 58 but would be a tough decision as I really like the color of the pelagos in person.

Also liking the ST2 omega right now- automatic so takes out the winding of the normal speedy. Looks great on a brown leather strap.

The movements in the Omegas are phenomenal, probably better than the Rolex.  That double escapement is so cool.  Kind of thinking I should get the Omega while I wait 12+ Months for the Rolex.  Really can't go wrong with either.

Hospitality tents are great aren’t they!
Yes, yes they are.  Free drinks all day is just glorious.  I wish my phone had a breathalyzer.  To keep me from regretting posts tomorrow.

PP’s are incredible- but prefer ASL if we are going into that League.

Ozzie- if movements are your thing, it’s hard to beat the grand seiko watches. amazing options for the money.

Lol, would love 5711 with Tiffany dial.  Not a big fan of their non-5711 offerings

The Grand Seiko spring drive is high on my list.  Dig their Skyflake, but really want a factory bracelet.

By ASL, assume you are talking A. Lange and Sohne.  If so, then agree 100%.  Their dataograph is stunning in all respects.

Seriously, how can this not give you the fizz?

You do know, right, that the new wOS for the Apple Watch™ automatically orders another box of condoms from Amazoid, every time you get a boner?   :D

Yes, but Apple Watches are just throw away.  I want an heirloom.

@Ozzie_Isaac If you get a "cheap" Rolex (under 5K), all the people in the know will think - look at that guy that could only afford the cheap ones.  Everyone else will be torn between thinking you're rich AF or it's a fake.

You're better off buying a cheap fake of a good Rolex, not too fancy, not gold colored.  Bonus points - it won't hurt when you lose it and take that money you save and spend it on horse feed.
I think you would have to be in the know to look at anyones watch
Everyone knows "Rolex" is an expensive watch.  Everyone.  And fakes are so good that even an expert would need to examine one to tell (and then it would be quick), not simply done by seeing it on an arm, fleetingly.

Must just be me. I don't look at anyone's watch. I judge a person on their reputation and character, I don't give a shvt if they have a unicorn horn in the middle of their forehead and drive a pinto. I am probably the opposite, if you rolled up on me with in a range rover and a rolex I would figure you have good credit.
We're all different.  Taken to one extreme, Sherlock Holmes profiled people using every clue at his disposal.  Even if you don't use superficial clues, other people do use them on you.

I'm not a slave to fashion, and I don't care what other people think about me that don't know me, but it can be fun to f*ck with people by manipulating superficial clues.  Buy a mullet hat and walk around town to see what I mean.

I hate to say this but go to a high school football game. Mullets are back.
You don't need to tell me that, my 17 yo is living proof.

The Rolex AD is going to start carrying Tudor.  Their display and pieces should be available end of March or so.  I have never seen a Pelegos in person, but looking forward to seeing them.

Mostly just restocking.  I used the last of the splits I had for that 10+ hr butt cook.  I’ll probably do that SRF porchetta roast here in another week or so when we have some family coming in to visit from out of town.

@JohnInCarolina - Looking forward to your porchetta cook as I have my eye on that bad boy from SRF as well.
BTW- great looking menu for this evening.  Chargrilled oysters for the win.  I'm sure all will have a great time.
