@lousubcap: Thanks, Frank. Was a good day. Got a surprise invitation to take over my B-I-L’s cottage rental tomorrow through Monday, so we’re lining up plans now and have invited some neighbours to join in. Will probably share pics down the road. How are you spending the weekend?

Me and lady friend just got home from a few days of wreck diving. We were hoping to make it out to the sunken U boat (U-352) but weather and visibility had other plans. Did manage to dive 3 other cool wrecks.
Visibility on first day was only 20 ft..second day increased to 35
Top side weather
We did manage to get a dive in with a big group of Sand Tigers
We ( I) booked our condo through air BnB..will be the last time I do that...was a cluster from the time I booked and accommodations were definitely sub par
kinda put a damper on the trip..but we survived.
Visited a couple of our favorite restaurants
Best dish for the weekend was pecan encrusted flounder fillets

@DuckDogDr: Sounds like a fun trip minus the accommodation let down. I’ve generally had good luck with AirBnB anywhere I’ve used it. Have actually had more disappointment with hotels. Where were you diving?

Tried watching Cry Macho. Clint looks old, couldn't deal with the sets or the acting. Watching 'Dirt' instead.

Eoin said:In other entertaining news for the engineers in the audience, my number 3 child Alastair is doing a maths masters. He constantly tells me how maths is harder than enginkeering and with a 1 year masters conversion, he would be an 'engineer'. His maths masters project is to model car suspension on a speed bump to optimise the effectiveness of the speed bump design. He had to call me to explain to him how a spring and a damper work.

First lunch was herb roasted chicken thighs with potato and carrots finished with a brown butter sauce. Maybe a little high in fat, tsp Madagascar blach pepper evoo, tbsp unsalted butter and some rendered from the chicken.

Just a quick stay at a rental property we had visited once before, earlier this summer. Brought some friends with their kids. It sits on the edge of a cliff, so the views of the fall colours are enjoyable.
