Just saw where Ford is releasing the maverick in 2022. Base price is right at $20k and the lariat trim is $25k.
It will be interesting to see how the sell. The biggest downfall I think is the 4.5 foot bed. I'd love to see a 6' bed on one.
That and the towing capacity.  2000 lbs unless you get the tow package and all wheel drive, then 4000 lbs.

Until it can tow 30,000 lbs like a 1989 HiLux, I'm not interested.

Check out around the 3 min 25 sec spot.

I agree plus what @nolaegghead said about towing capacity. I do think there are quite a few customers who wanted something like the old ranger (small cheap work truck). It will be interesting to see if they decide to make a single cab 6ft bed in the future.

There’s a lot of suburban truck owners who have never hauled or towed a thing.  And I do wish I got better than 19 mpg in my Taco.  I bet these sell like hotcakes, once Ford gets their chips.

My first car was a ‘70 Ford Maverick.

they need to add the rear cabin pass door to the higher horsepower version like on a hummer sut or the chevy avalanche. 4000 pound tow capacity and the extra 2 ft or so bed space in the cabin would be plenty on a truck this size

This yours, @Botch? If so, 19mpg sounds pretty decent.

I’m guessing it’s fuelled by refried beans, but the emissions are terrible.

Someone and ones are gonna be enjoying quite the banquet right there.
I need to give Wild Fork a shot.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
  • @lkapigian: Nice haul. Never heard of Wild Fork, but I think I just broke my brain trying to discern how frozen could be fresher than fresh. Seems like it could be a philosophy exam question.

@lousubcap , SRF only had Wagyu , prime is fine with me, the end product will tell, but service up there with SRF @GrateEggspectations, first time I ordered online I thought the same, this is flash frozen and “ should” be fine not fresh off the carcass , but slide degradation in quality

Just watched the Cardinals season end on a 2 run walk-off homer by LAD.  It was fun while it lasted.

@DuckDogDr I hear you. Hopefully your situation gets better. We've missed teal season the last two years, it just seems to sneak up on us. I've heard great things about Washington, it is on my list! Hopefully we can get out there in the next few years. We are going out to Kansas in December for our duckcation.

Installed Windows 11 on my office PC and bricked it. Now it’s time to figure out why.

Let us know how it goes.  I will hold off on installing Windows 11 on production machines until . . . hmmmmm. . . support ends on it.....

I have customer still on Win7 and some CNC machinery on win98, win95, winNT, as well as DOS. . . but I think the DOS machine is sold, it is no longer my responsibility.

You brought back some bad memories.  We had the same situation across the Ogden Air Logistics Center, and the director of engineering assigned me the task of setting up all our CNC machines on a network, so that control of the machines could be centralized under him.  Couldn't use the internet.  Couldn't dig any lines (direct order from base Comm).  No budget.  But he kept demanding it.  Four effin' years.
Need to add my degrees are in ME, IE and Munitions Tech; zero background in comm, software, or electronics, I have trouble updating the OS on my phone.
It ended badly, and why I chose early retirement.  Ugh.

I took my bricked MBP to ubreakitifix yesterday.  2 weeks before they can look at it.  I'm not very optimistic.  First time I've taken something electronic to a repair shop. Usually fix myself.

Pulling for the White Sox vs the Astros.
Anybody but the friggin Astros.  MLB shoulda vacated their 2017 World Series win.  Park Avenue (MLB HQ at the time) spineless at its finest right there.

I have a pretty good feeling that the Astros took the fall for a fair number of clubs that were doing some shady sh!t and that is why they still have the trophy. ‘Stros in 4.
