Just finished a search warrant class. Fun.

Do you have to call ahead and schedule an appointment now?
No. You can still go to the wrong house and shoot them dead, then get a paid vacation while Internal Affairs says everything went as well as could be expected.

Dont know. Its crazy they cant figure out the right house but how often has that happened 1 out of 100,000 times? Do you think we should just stop everything in life where very very very random mistakes happen?

Had a stalker show up at the micro-farm. He gave zero shitz about humans which makes me think someone is feeding him. The two Great Pyrenees did their jobs. Bobcats are protected in Indiana, but if they continue to threaten the herd it can be "eliminated". The have a wide area they cover (up to 50 miles).

So did the dogs eat kitty or just send it down the street with a severe warning?

They just sent him a message. The bobcat never made it inside the fence. The dogs are kept in the pasture with the animals :) We're approaching Bobcat breeding season here so I am assuming that is part of "his" odd behavior.

A happy sight in my local newspaper this morning. Hill AFB is requesting Public Comment on the Environmental Assessment proposed for the ~$110M F-35/T-7 aircraft maintenance campus. This was my project for the last four years of my career. The EA is not done until after Congress approves the funding, so it must have been funded in the 2021 NDAA.
I only got congressional approval for one project during my four years in MILCON, in 2018 (and that funding was taken for a wall that Mexico never paid for, part of the reason I took early retirement). Nice to know the Big Kahuna finally got funded, and I may get to visit it in my lifetime!   B)

Flags at the ready - I’m back, back, back.  A heady blend of cup matches, C-19 raddled mid-week games and life in general arrested my greatly admired series of football posts. But hey, mundanity prevails so I can share with you again.

Oh, before I forget - yes I agree the 2-0 series win by England in Sri Lanka was a pleasant surprise.  Roll on India for a sterner test.

    Saturday

Everton v Newcastle,  the Toffees have Rodriguez back as their creative dynamo, the Toon are abject. 2-0

Palace v Wolves, ponderous Palace are already in no-mans land at the foot of mid-table but right next to Wolves. 0-0 please. That’s how desperate I have become.

Man City v Sheff Utd,  hello who is this other team from Manchester purring like a Rolls?  Oooh aren’t they gorgeous with their delicate interwoven football, tight defence and eye for a goal.  The Blades beat Man Utd but will get proper humped this time out.  4-0.

West Brom v Fulham, the two almost worst teams clash - well bump in to each other at very low velocity.  Could go either way, 1-1.

Arsenal v Man Utd, not the testosterone fuelled spite-fest it once was. However, it will be goal laden and I feel frisky,  so 3-2.

Southampton v Villa, meh similar teams so being at home prevails, 2-1

In the Championship the Potters have stalled and @Eoin will have to settle for progress amounting to mid-table mediocrity.  They travel to Huddersfield and will draw. 1-1

    Sunday

The team formerly known as Super-Frank’s Chelsea are henceforth titled Chelsea.  Yes, he’s gone and the love affair ends. Not the shortest tenure but just below average.  Looking for a bit of Liverpool style resurgence, an animated alliterative affable German has been recruited, Thomas Tuchel.  What larks.

Burnley, the well practiced mood-sponges of the league, are due in town.  So stuttering 1-0 win for the Chels’

Leicester v Leeds, the screaming scrotum is having surgery but the foxes remain fiery.  3-1

West Ham v Liverpool, the Hammers are mysteriously in 4th place,  to won’t last. 1-3 and Big Jurgy has the Scousers back on form.

Brighton v Spurs,  Kane is crook and life’s a struggle again for moribund Jose.  But surely they can dispose of the filthy Seagulls without exceeding a canter? 0-2.

I perceive any attention as good attention, so flag all you like. Tally ho!

Thanks for that. It look like (to me at least) you are largely spot on - with one exception.

I have to confess a bias, but I also think that teams that lose games they shouldn't - and are frankly embarrassing - tend to bounce back strongly.  I'm going with Man U 2-0 over Arsenal.

My favorite cookies with my daughter, chocolate-white chocolate chip.

Thanks a lot.  My cookie craving just kicked in like Pavlov's dog.  Good think I stocked up on baking supplies yesterday evening.

@FarmingPhD you can never have too much chocolate in a chocolate chip cookie. I would destroy that tray.  Great results.
BTW- breakfast of champions "Chocolate chip cookies and beer!"

I would be remiss if I didn't say that those nachos look great but... B)
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I agree on the breakfast of champions minus the beer..... I’d be a failure of a father if I didn’t teach my kids that desert makes some of the best breakfast, cookies, pie, cake...
