As a mark of respect (thanks @Eoin ) there will be no reference at all to the massive thumping England gave USA in the rugby world cup.  Not a word about the scale of defat inflicted, nor suggestion of overwhelming superiority England displayed throughout the match.

However,  the footie is back - so you needn’t dwell on the rugby  (d’oh - that one slipped out by mistake)

Tonight Stoke, on a distinct incline in form after draw last week which took them to second bottom, welcome Notts Forest - who are in good away form.  Unhelpful. I am being bold. 1-1 and the match to safety carrie on.

    Saturday & the PL;

Lunchtime, ebullient Liverpool trot over the Pennines to Sheff Utd.  2-1 and the 100% record rolls on.

Normal kick-off time, Villa have Burnley at home. They are struggling to get results over the line and I think Burnley will be too savvy, closing the game out for a 0-1 away win and cementing their return to decent form.

Bournemouth have found form and will outgun West Ham, 2-1.

Chelsea are all fun and larks right now,  Brighton are the opponents and are stuttering at best.  My trademark prediction of 86-0, please.  More likely 3-1,  no make that 2-0.

Palace welcome Norwich who crashed to earth last week after previously beating Man City.  Palace have not been sparkling at home, but are now a lot more solid.  Letting Wolves equalise in the 5th minute of injury time was unprofessional and they need to pick off this kind of team to avoid the relegation battle that most pundits predicted.   Fingers crossed for a scrappy 2-1.

Spurs are all at sea and in fact by the sea, as they travel to Southampton.  Ill-mood is sweeping the Londoners but Southampton have not been great either.  1-1.

Wolves and Watford play out the bottom-two derby.  I just want Watford to carry on losing, so 2-0 Wolves please, with Boly scoring to boost my fantasy team.

This week Man City will beat… Everton 2-0.

Sunday, only Leicester and Newcastle.  Run of the mill 2-0 to the foxes.  Nothing to see here.

Monday evening and its Man Utd & Arsenal, traditionally a rather spicy affair but not anymore.  Arsenal are too sophisticated for all that and the reds are just a bit rubbish.  Not looking rosey in the garden for Ole.  I am seeing a 1-3 for the Gunners here.

    Ok,  back to the rugby………

Other girls may try to take me away

Yeah, I have ear plugs and a blackout mask. I think the biggest problem is walking out of the prison and its bright as can be outside. I go from tired to wide awake.

Not enough food for now-and not enough food for later.
I'm not sure a neighborhood 7-11 could have enough of the right stuff.

Actually had senior "leadership" agree with my argument this week, got the lawn mowed tonight, 'sposed to rain heavy all weekend (and snow, 1 to 3 FEET, in Montana valleys!), college football all day tomorrow, pro all day Sunday, got a year's worth of plastic off-gassing off the inside of my car's windshield (took 40 minutes!), and one other thing.
    Life is good.  :triumph:
