Baba ganouch, marinated lamb, Israeli couscous.

I really screwed the pooch in a little experiment with the bromelain.  Do not marinate any meat in fresh pineapple overnight.  That enzyme totally permeates the meat and turns it to mush.  All the lamb leftovers went to the opossums.  Waste of a $28 leg.  Taste was spot on.  Texture - yecchhk

Looks great, I did the same with some pork a couple of years ago.  It got strangely dry and crumbly almost got nice it was cooked.

Moussaka is another that's delicious.  SWMBO makes it a few time a year, takes her about 3 hours to make (it's complicated and she's anal about everything being perfect).

Bout to cook some quarters on the egg. And some asparagus in my cast iron and make some cheap mac n cheese.

I have about 30-40 quarters in the freezer still from the last Kroger sale. They ended up being about s buck each with various seasonings. I foodsavered them all.

(My stove sticks out because I put the outlet in back about 2 inches too high when I built the house. Should have opened the stove box and measured before I wired it up. I'll fix it eventually)

Just lit the gas heater in the garage. Nobody likes a cold truck in the mornings.

Last time it got this cold the moisture from the natural gas burning created enough condensation on the exterior doors that they were froze shut.

How do you like that blue flame unit? Something I have considered in lieu of a full blown furnace in the garage, but couldn’t pull
the trigger. Would you buy it again?

I love it and would do it again in a heartbeat!

The optional blower is a must have, IMO. That coupled with a ceiling fan out there, I can keep it in the 70s if desired. On low it will keep it in the low 40's during an average winter day/night.

Just made a double decker grilled cheese with the last of my homemade bread. Was legit. cooked it in the cast iron

Used American singles and shredded Mexican blend cheeses. Had famous Dave's devil's spit spicy pickles on the side.

Yes, I did toast both sides of the middle bread slice thoroughly first before combining it into one sammich.

I read it on the internet so it must be true...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

9/11/01: the following week Patriots QB Drew Bledsoe who wears #11 symbolic of the twin towers, gets hit by a New York Jet. New York the 11th State. In comes Tom Brady. The Patriot act passed... Pats win the Superbowl. The twin towers stood for 33 years, began construction in 1968.... That year the New York Jets win their only Superbowl, 911 becomes the emergency dialing code, 2001: a space odyssey released.

We are now 33 years removed from the Patriots losing their first Superbowl to the 1985 Chicago Bears, whom outscored opponents in the playoffs 91-10... sort of like a 911. That 85' season Joe Theismann broke his right leg playing QB for the Redskins, now 33 years to the day later, Redskins QB Alex Smith breaks his right leg on the same yard line as Theismann with the score being the same in both games. Lawrence Taylor and JJ Watt are the only two players to be 3 time defensive players of the year in NFL history. Both Pro Bowl tackles Joe Jacoby in 1985, and Trent Williams in 2018 missed the game where their QB's were hurt.

This is now the 9th Superbowl appearance for Brady and Belichick, 11th overall for the Patriots.

Saban wins his 6th title at age 66 in Atlanta.

Belichick can win his 6th title at age 66 in Atlanta.

This off season we get a ridiculous story about Tom Brady seeing a bear in the woods in Montana. Jared Goff the Cal Bear throws to Woods. Brady openly idolized Joe Montana and was a 49ers fan. Goff despite being born in 1994 wears #16 because of Joe Montana. Sean McVay will turn 33 years old before the Superbowl. McVays grandfather worked for Bill Walsh and the 49ers. McVay played his HS football in Georgia where Superbowl LIII is being hosted.

Since the beginning of the Superbowl era, every decade one team wins 3 superbowls. 70's Steelers, 80's 49ers, 90's Cowboys, 2000-2010 Patriots, 2011-2020.... so far the Patriots have wins in 2015 & 2017.

Just got a call from my boss's boss saying that my boss was getting demoted today. My boss (the one getting demoted) originally hired both of us (myself and my boss's boss), so this should be interesting/awkward.

Made some red beans in the pressure cooker.  Bacon, andoille and ham.  Great taste, I added some Pho fat I reserved which is pure flavor and really gives it a unique taste.
Looks great.  Made a pretty decent lentil soup myself last night in the pressure cooker.  Think I’ll be using it more often.
