Friday after Thanksgiving means Christmas decorating in my house. This year, we got two trees, because it makes SWMBO happy. And you know what they say about that. Also, it looks like I am running an orphanage around here.

I'm really not sure what that's about. I didn't read the book, and I don't plan to buy it.

  • @NC_Egghead good question.  Two main factors when deciding when to combine. One is weather conditions, which factors into number two which is moisture content. So if it is a beautiful day and your beans are around %13 roll on.

I had never heard of Waffle House until I saw it on Parts Unknown. It's like a 24h greasy spoon on steroids and with waffles as well. Why are they not here in the UK?

Too low brow. Just kidding. They are one of the, if not the most successful, long term, highly profitable chain restaurants in the USA. Great scheme, and certainly legendary, for late night fixes for grease to balance the night of partying.
Happened to go into one late night to get my alcohol to grease ratio stablized, which unbeknownst to me, coincided with the crowd rolling in from a Kiss concert that was in town.
SRO, except for those face down on the floor, and the Waffle House crew did not skip a beat, screaming "scattered, covered, diced, smothered" all night long.

@yukonron the two founders of Waffle House came back from WW2 and created that concept based on the short order line in an Army mess hall. I learned that while eating Sunday hangover breakfast with @Possumtrot and @The_Stache on the way home from Butt Blast.
