That is pipe spools. They are 105 foot in diameter. They each will roll up 16 miles of 10" diameter pipe. The pipe is then unrolled offshore and laid on the seabed. This is how subsea pipe lines are layed now. This is called "S" laying. The days of "J" laying is about gone. S laying is much faster.Ozzie_Isaac said:What do they use those huge cable spools for?Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

@DMW four more fingers of this bourbon and I'm revisiting the Vineyards in Sicily holding hands with my wife. And HuskerMaMa is in Texas on business so I may need more than 4 fingers to get me there.

Is five fingers considered a fist?
Three is a shocker.

Just got back from Enterprise with my rental. Daughter and I were in a car accident last Saturday (10 days ago). Stopped at intersection to let ambulance with sirens and lights go thru. All three cars behind me didn't stop. Car is busted up pretty good. But more importantly my daughter is fine. A little shook up, but fine.
You pay your insurance premiums for years, then when you need your insurance it's like pulling teeth. The aggravation and stress is worse than the accident itself.
Been a helluva week and I know it's far from over yet.
