Between new responsibilities and all the rain, I haven’t been cooking or hanging out on the forum much lately.
Lit the XL tonight and cooked some leg quarters. Basic, but tasty.

Not sure if any of you are into herbal teas or not (I do know @northGAcock is), but there is a new tea store in Ocracoke, NC that is awesome. Moonraker Tea Shop. Young lady who owns it makes custom loose leaf tea recipes for you, depending on what you’re looking for health wise, mood wise, etc. Currently enjoying a delicious cup of this stuff. She says she is currently trying to workout online shipping. Definitely recommend it and good prices too.

That galette we made earlier was to take over to our neighbor's place. They invited us for pizza and arcade.
First was focaccia:
And then a few cheese:
And a couple margherita:
And, since I brought him some prosciutto, he made a killer prosciutto egg pie:
That was my favorite:
And then, since he built this pretty cool arcade cabinet that only took him 2 or 3 years or so:
He and I beat the arcade version of "The Simpsons". It's a bit easier when inserting a coin is just pushing a button...
I did give him a hand with some of the soldering and setup of the Raspberry Pi, but all the real work was all him.They/Them

vb4677 said:Just made bulgogi marinade for 5.3 pounds of thinly sliced beef chuck. I will be doing the honors on the LBGE tomorrow night. Also made a ginger soy dipping sauce. A gojuchang aioli, and a whole heap of ssamjung. Tomorrow night 3 other couples are coming over for our nearly monthly international cuisine attempt. We've done India, Chinese and Italian so far. Korean night tomorrow is stretching a few of the couples for sure - but at least I've got beef bulgogi, black rice pudding, sticky brown rice, shishito peppers, kimchi and a couple of garlicky dipping sauces to keep it real. Pics if they happen.
Oh yeah - all this, AND all while consuming some exceptional local KC beers from Martin City Brewing, Torn Label and Boulevard Brewing.
