  • Just texting my friend about my experiences ripping around in a (707hp) Challenger HellCat today.

I have previously driven a (much, much pricier) Porsche 911 Turbo S and have to say that the HellCat was a lot more fun.

One pork roast done, wrapped and resting in the cooler. Waiting for the beef roast to get done. Then on to lasagna.

Making plans to take care of all the mothers in my life.
-Meeting Mom and Grandma for breakfast tomorrow.
-Wife wanted ribeyes and twice baked potatoes for dinner.  Secured those. May make a slab of baby back ribs to go with it for shits n giggles.

Helped my brother smoke his first brisket on his Weber Smokey Mtn cooker.  Turned out great and he was very appreciative of the help.  Yardwork done before I leave for San Diego on Monday.  Now I'm chilling with a beer and watching Reds vs. Dodgers.

Great weekend so far.  Got to see lots of family and did it in a relaxing manner.

Completely agree my friend.  While I was exhausted and cutting the grass I was thinking.....Mothers Day is once a year.  Less than 1/3rd a percent of the year.  I can certainly kill myself making her day something special.  It's the least I can do.  Cheers!

Lost mine in 2014. Mother’s day is bittersweet, celebrating my wife and missing my mom at the same time.

Just got back from the local grocery store. Talk about a sausage party. I only saw one poor women in the whole store/parking lot. Us guys must be really good at cooking breakfast and buying flowers on mothers day or really bad last minute shoppers. I think I know the answer...

    Sorry no pic.
For part of a Mother's Day brunch, over grilled ciabatta I set grilled butterflyed smoked sausage with poached egg, and drizzled with Alabama white sauce.  Does "Deep South Benedict" work?
I must say it was tasty.

Just wanted to give a shout out to @tarheelmatt and his youtube channel.  Meatloaf sammy looks great.

Matt - i do it pretty much the same way, but if you have a recipe for pickled onions, that'd be great, since I've never made them.

Cen-Tex has a recipe for pickled onions here in his “Barbacoa a la Cen Tex” thread that’s really easy and good.
