A Jew, muslim and a redneck walk into a bar....

Mini maiden voyage. Shakshuka. Middle Eastern peasant meal. Only one pic. I slow fried potatoes southern style. The shakshuka is a vegetarian dish....uh, naw. Added bacon.

Just Google it. I kinda went commando.

Bacon grease...saute onion and red pepper
Add a little garlic
Add diced tomatoes well drained
Add feta cheese
Crack eggs over the top
Parsley for presentation


The family liked it so I'm happy. image

Had trouble getting the mini up to temp. Wanted to hang out at 300. Took the placesetter off and immediately shot to 500. One amazing thing is the lump you save. I can't believe how little it takes.
