    Brother Tex, when I was a younger man I have done much longer stints in remote locations throughout the world. I spent 9 months solid off the Ivory Coast of Africa back in the 90's for Standard Oil of California/Chevron. I spent a year and a half in Saudi Arabia at SO/Aramco. As of late I try not to be out over 3 weeks at a time. But that doesn't always work out brother Tex. When laying the subsea mainline and FLETS: Flow Line End Termination, you have to stay until final final pigging is complete and accepted. Hey it pays good though!!!!

    My office has a view of a truck stop.  But a real nice truck stop, with a casino, bar and greasy spoon.

    @JohnInCarolina - that's not Carolina

    Brother Tex, I have some photos as well that were taken at 10,000 feet deep below the surface of the mainline sitting on location on the sea bed. They were taken with state of the art ROV'S. I will ask if it's ok to post them. If so I have some breath taking photos of sunken ships, submarines and airplanes that went down in WWII. Sometimes this type of wreckage is in the path of the mainline and has to be moved. It's awesome to see for sure.

    @JohnInCarolina - I live in New Orleans, but my office is in St. Rose in an industrial park.  One of the largest liquor distributors in the state is on our street and there are tractor trailers filled with booze, beer and wine rolling by 24/7.
