I would gladly swap with you. It's a miserable 89 degrees just this side of Back Bay Biloxi tonight.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Very nice! Meteorological Summer ended on August 3st. It's just that the light and dark will be equal on the Equinox. Apparently, today is the last day it will "feel" like summer on mid-Atlantic Seaboard.

Something new for me. I've never heard of a meteorological summer. I've always wondered why we considered June, July, and August Summer, but the first days of the Seasons never correlated. Makes sense when you throw big names in there like Meteorological versus Astronomical Summer. Thanks for the knowledge tip of the day @Eggcelsior.Steven

@stemc33 - I see they are calling for another 1-2" in our area through Friday AM. We had a small thunder storm last night, but not much for moisture. Misty, cold and wet down here this AM. As usual, it probably won't amount to much, more for you guys north of us.

We're suppose to have sun tomorrow. It's that time of year again. 32° with wet snow one day and 60° the day after. Temps are predicted to hit 80° next week. This is just the reminder Winter's on the way.Steven

July and Aug - people don't go outside longer than they have to - high humidity and hot. Some come out at night. The rest of the year is nice.

@stemc33 - Not really. We'll get a dusting every few years. I'll never forget the time we got an inch or so on christmas day. The entire neighborhood was in a snowball fight.

Do you folks think this early snow is a result of "Bovine flatulence global warming"...Or just a phenomenon...Greensboro North Carolina

I like a state with a nice balance like the mid atlantic region. In GA summer is to long and hot. Winter is typically not any fun when it is cold we don't get snow or we end up with ice. Virginia was nice when I lived there a few years, all 4 seasons of equal length. I am not sure how you guys survive a month or so with temps below freezing way up North. I also spent a few years in Denver, one day it snows, the next day it is 70.

What @Smokingpig said ^^^^^^^ - I am not a fan of snow for sure since when it does comes, it melts a little during the day, then freezes again at night causing ice. And of course, it pretty much shuts down the state when 1" is expected. haha

You knew @nanook was send it your way, Cow Town had inches of the stuff - as the weather always says "Cold air from Canada......" this time we were just passing on what Alaska sent us....Agree, power and trees take a beating. Need a few frosts before the snow flies.here is someone who likes the snow - from California!Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
-
Not yet man. I have a lot of roof to install before the snow flies. Winter last 6 months last year.
