We dropped @VANcouverEGG and his gf off at M.O.M.s ball (they may regret that or have a memorable experience) and came back home. Found Rocky Horror Picture Show on the the teevee and fell asleep. Woke up in the middle of the night, was raining like mad. Bad case of insomnia...all the cats took refuge in the house...insomnia maybe from the Absinthe from earlier...anyway drinking a bit of Evan Williams...need....to....sleep....

Cracked a bottle of imperials stout i made ca.1995. it was just 'ok' then. Had molasses in the recipe and tasted too much like it
hat has softened quite a bit, but not much depth to it anymore, and lost a good bit of carbonation.
Sweet chocolatey nose, thin mouthfeel, good roasted malt finish. Better than it was when fresh made, due to the excess sugar then.
But probably lost all subtlety with the aging.
