@DoubleEgger The bigger round ice cubes keep your drinks from getting watered down as fast. I know some bars are starting to use them so people don't sit around sipping their watered down drinksDoubleEgger said:Are the fancy ice cubes the new "in" thing?"The pig is an amazing animal. I have a silicon rubber ice tray that makes 1.5" square cubes. One of those in my bourbon does the trick for me. I also have some of the stainless steel and granite whiskey stones for when I don't my drink watered down at all.WeberWho? said:

@LegumeHow was the OVRW 12? I lucked in to a bottle of PVW23 last year, but have only had one drink out of it so far. I have a line on another bottle in this years release, and if that happens I will enjoy the 23 much more often.Legume said:Nothing yet tonight, but got to have some Old Rip Van Winkle 12 the other night. Really smooth. I don't ususly drink scotch and bourbon in the same night, but we were at a corporate event that had wrapped and we hadn't spent our contract min with the restaurant, so we relaxed and surfed the expensive page of the bar menu. Had some Macallan 18 that was great but had some surprising bite to it. Then when the others went Johnny Walker Blue, I jumped to the Rip 12 @ $150. Stupidly overpriced but the money was already spent, so wth. Doubt I'll ever have that again.CTMike said:
