I really liked it. You definitely get some of the flavor and sweetness from the sherry. I also got some of the spice from the rye. It has a great mouthfeel but not a super long finish. I think it drinks right at its 106 proof. I want to get the port finish if I can find one

Bourbon or rye? The bourbon is good but the rye is truly unique and next level IMO.

Picked this up while visiting my friend (see the Definition Of Insanity thread) in Arkansas this weekend. Had a few fingers of it while thinking about him, and how he was dealt such a sh!tty hand in life. 

Barrel proofs are typically too hot for my palate, so I use one of the big square ice cubes to cut down on the heat. Don’t know that I’ll buy another bottle when this one is killed, but I will spend some time thinking about my friend every time I have a glass.

I’m a fan of this one. I even keep a back up. I am a fan of barrel proof bourbons though which is why I probably don’t care for the small batch version.

Just for clarification sample trading is trading 2oz bottles. So if something of yours is open that is better. Don’t want to open something you have been saving for a special occasion.
