Larceny’s best is the barrel proof. 4 roses small batch select is great for the price.

Interesting read. Have you been to this store @lousubcap?Large and Small BGECentral, IL

Innocent. I'm sure the secondary mark up is painful...
I will have to verify by visiting the Louisville store.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
Sazerac old fashioned - which is my favorite

With a luxardo because everything deserves a luxardo.

I'm all in with the Luxardo but how is the bourbon...worthy of a Luxardo??Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Grabbed it at TW for $50 after asking the forum about it. I really dig it - smooth at 100 proof, it seems like a great middle ground between a daily 80 proof like ECSB and something barrel proof.
-
Passed on a Whistle Pig 12 year rye today for $130. Good call, or should I hop back in the truck in the morning? FWIW I really enjoy rye's. Templeton 12 is the best I've had at a ~$100 bottle and it was FANTASTIC.

Not a rye person but to your point Templeton always gets great reviews.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I don't think it's taken off here yet. I'll grab a few next time i'm there, i'm sure it's a matter of time. I remember buying McKenna 10 for like $30 a few years back...

Dude we can rarely find McKenna here at all and when we do it is $$$. WildLBGE, 28” BS, Weber Kettle, HCI 7.8 SE Texas

I'm factoring in covid time when I say a few years back haha. It won bourbon of the year - whenever that was I was able to find it before word got out and bought a bunch. I got one at TW about a month ago at $50 and thought that was a steal, it really is great stuff. Haven't seen it since.
All depends on area though. I haven't seen BT/ER/Blantons/EH Taylor here in well over a year now. Not even at massive markup. Just non existent. -
Found this little beauty at my local store. Really stinks bc at the moment I have 2 opened Eagle Rare bottles - I know first world problems, right. Once I kill one of them I’ll crack this single barrel open. Can’t wait. Will report back when that time comes. Cheers to Friday!
-
Look at a bourbon bar (or my house and many here...), if you want to open it-have at it. It won't go bad and you can then compare the two. FWIW on a lightly bourbon infused Friday.

Cap - I like your style! Will crack it open very soon!
