@JohnInCarolina - Isn't it a little early for that on the left coast??
Edit:  not with my life style but you are a professor influencing students...

I’m actually back home now, Frank.  Caught an early, direct flight back this morning.

I agree. When your best offering is your basic small batch you are doing something wrong. Ever since they tried their new marketing approach I feel like their product has gone sideways.

I’d say it’s pretty average. It is pretty easy drinking though. @JohnInCarolina

It really is.   Trying to get my wine drinking buddy into it and that’s exactly what I suggested—or Belle Meade.   Small $ and not too here or there flavor-wise

@ColbyLang - enjoy LEO and should you accelerate to escape velocity here's to a smooth landing.  The ride is always worth it!

I didn’t like it initially but as I drink more it is opening up and is very enjoyable.

  • One of Upland Brewing’s big sellers is an IPA called Dragonfly.  How could I resist picking up a six pack of this particular limited release Black IPA?

I think the prices on the highly desirable stuff was likely pretty jacked up. I’ll find out. Apparently this is a hole in the wall place with nondescript name. I’ll find out more next week. 😜
@pgprescott sourced me the name of the above liquor store in Louisville (quite non descript in a strip mall) which I visited earlier today.  To clarify the meaning of "Ask for the price", if the bottle is assigned a number then just add two zeros and you have the price. He!! eagle Rare for $120 on the floor. F' me.
Clearly a great museum collection right there.
    I happily walked out empty-handed.
Just thought I would offer some feedback.  Should anyone here want to jump in- You are gonna have to pony up the $$ and I will ensure you get the product.    B)

Thanks for the explanation as to why a store would have so much sitting on it's shelf...

Sad to say but I see Eagle rare selling every day at $100 around here. You can still find it for much less if your diligent and savvy, but it sells. 🤷🏼‍♂️ They get up to $200 for some horsey pour.

I think my buddy paid up 3 hundo for the Weller full proof as he said he had to have it and had never seen it in the wild before in our area.

The really rare BTAC stuff is truly priced to not sell. Definitely a show display. Kinda cool to see though as you said.
