Talking bourbon, have any of y’all had anything from The Clover or Lone Elm?Local liquor store has offerings from both but they’re. $~70 and I’d rather not roll die. They also have Wiseman which I’ll grab since I enjoy Kentucky Owl offerings. Thanks in advance for any feedback.LBGE, 28” BS, Weber Kettle, HCI 7.8 SE Texas

I have not tried either of them but I have pretty strong faith in the distiller apps ratings. The reviews aren’t strong for The Clover but are mixed for Lone Elm depending on which one you are looking at. FWIWLarge and Small BGECentral, IL

Wiseman is cheaper but no where near as good as
most of the KO offerings IMO. Of course, it’s subjective. I suppose given it’s less than half the price it’s worth a try. You may like it better than I did. My buddy bought a bottle for a chef down I Florida and we consumed some of it with him. Not trying to rain on it, just my honest opinion. Happy hunting. -
thank you both for feedback, while I am still contemplating I thought Col EH could help…

How are these cups? Do they add a lot of flavor to the whiskey? Is it any good? Im asking because I have one in my shopping cart as we speak!paqman said:

Apparently my buddy scored somewhere down in Louisville. Sent me this pic.

@pgprescott - You can run but you cannot hide. Given your buddy will not be back here for a while, please let me know where he nailed that collection as I have not found such in my lower rent districts. I will not reveal any secrets here.
Great score.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
I'll ask. I have a buddy there in Louisville. They have tickets to Keeneland. I had to pass, too busy. The top shelf at the store was unreal. All the pappys and lots of the Col. stuff you a covet. Might not hear from him for a while as they are surely in LEO as you say.lousubcap said:@pgprescott - You can run but you cannot hide. Great score. -

I think the prices on the highly desirable stuff was likely pretty jacked up. I’ll find out. Apparently this is a hole in the wall place with nondescript name. I’ll find out more next week. 😜

@Mr1egg I don’t think that the whiskey/bourbon stays long enough in the tumbler to add flavor but you can smell the wood when you take a sip and the texture of the wood on your lips is very nice. The cups themselves are larger than expected because of the thickness of the wood but the interior is about the size and shape of a Glencairn whisky glass and can old 4 oz. I don’t know how durable they will be but so far so good! At 272$CAD for the set of 4, I don’t think that I would ever have pulled the trigger myself but it was a very nice gift and I am not disappointed.Mr1egg said:

Gin and tonic.Villa Ascenti with Bermondsey tonic, which proclaims an artesian origin. Could just be Thames water with quinine? Tastes nice though.
Hopefully @JohnInCarolina won’t notice the tiles on my shed roof. 🤞🏻Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay -
I was just about to say that I appreciate you backing away sufficiently far from the roof in the background! Cheers, mate!CPFC1905 said:Gin and tonic.Villa Ascenti with Bermondsey tonic, which proclaims an artesian origin. Could just be Thames water with quinine? Tastes nice though.
