    @UncleFred  I had never heard of "Electro-Swing"

I googled Parov Stelar and then watched this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eco4z98nIQY

Man all I can say is  Freakin AWESOME! Love it!  And I'm a classic rock guy.

  • If you like that one, check out this one...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uybPgcwtJjo

You won't get the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers videos but it's a good song, typical of the genre.  There are a lot of interesting songs on those "White Mink Black Cotton (Electro Swing versus Speakeasy Jazz" CD's

BTW the above song is currently being used in a commercial... Dodge if I remember correctly.

  • Then listen to this one.

The group is named Chinese Man and they are really more into Hip Hop/Rap but this is a great Electro Swing track that samples a lot of 30's & 40's songs.

It is taking longer than expected to fetch the next song to play. The music should be playing soon. If you get tired of waiting, you can try reloading your browser.

Please check our Help page for information about troubleshooting Pandora on your browser.

Pandora, It's a Beautiful Day radio, Lyle Lovett, Ray Wiley Hubbard, Charlie Robison, Chris Knight, Steely Dan, Van Morrison, JJ Cale.. I stream about 3000 Pandora songs a month.  Great music

I switch back and forth with my favorite types of music. I have a very broad range.
Right now I'm into blues guitar music.
I'm loving "Guitar Shorty" and "Magic Slim" and especially "Tab Benoit"

I'm a Pandora listener out on the patio. I stream it through my DirecTV to my 4 outdoor speakers and use the RF remote to control the tunes. I will pick a station from my list based upon my mood. Really look forward to doing this as the weather improves here in Illinois.

Back to Pink Floyd, One of These Days

The only lyrics to the song, are sung kinda dark sounding "One of these days, I'm going to cut you into little pieces".  sounds pretty morbid, until you see them in concert and the flying pig is hoisted out during the song.

Takes on a whole new meaning.     Bacon anyone!?

To catch the lyrics, go to time stamp 3:35 and enjoy.

I have a rather large and eclectic collection, including music from Amadeus to ZZ Top, and something from each genre in between. I think my go to is Blues. Eric Clapton, SRV, Jimi Hendrix, Gary Clark Junior, Joe Bonamassa, and many others. Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Chicago, U2, Joe Cocker, CSNY, Dave Brubek, SteelyDan, Doors, all share a place on the iPod, and by no means limited to them.

I do have to admit that I just purchased a new car and it came with a free XM Radio subscription for 3 months.  It has not been changed from the Grateful Dead channel in the 13 days I've owned it!  Seriously considering subscribing once the trial period ends.

And...that's how they get you.  Mine came with 12 months free.  My dad has it in his vehicle and I'm probably just going to have him add me to his "authorized vehicle" list.

we carry a product call Soundcast. I don't think they have as many bells and whistles as some other brands, but the sound is far better than my Klipsch built in speakers, top quality. There is always the issue of cut out due to interference. Fireplaces, steel structures and believe it or not, people are sometimes an issue. Our high water content can cause the signal to be blocked. Only way around that is to place the transmitter where it wont ever be blocked. Not like it happens a lot, but anyone who tells you it won't happen at all is not correct. There are many choices out there, but you will get what you pay for IMO.
