40 oz Porterhouse Reverse Sear

Skipped lunch and am starving so I just put a 40 oz Flannery Beef Prime Dry Aged CA Reserve Porterhouse on the egg. Weighs in at 45 oz.
Simply seasoned with Morton & Bassett Organic Italian Seasoning and kosher salt.
Cooking at 350 on Woo with CI grid. PS and drip tray underneath. 50/50 blend of fresh and used RW lump.

You really did that justice. When I was a kid my grandfather had some cattle and would have them butchered and that cut sliced about 2/3 that thick. They typically weighed in at 28-30 ounces. He would cook them over orange wood he got from his grove on a wheelbarrow with a drain grate. He taught me how to have a hot fire on the shallow end of the wheelbarrow for searing and a cooler fire over the deep end for roasting and he did a forward sear. Your pics brought back some great memories. Thanks for that.
