Yes. Both the front hood, and the rear lid, are actually wings; you can sweep your arm across from the front grill to the windshield; same in the back. According to MKBHD, building in some kind of "pocket" for the wipers to stow away in, would've caused more drag than the upright position they end up in.

FIL is finishing up a total restoration of a 1966 Grand Prix. To say this car was a POS when he bought it is an understatement.

This 1962 (I believe) Chevy Impala was parked about a mile from my. house. The interior was as pristine as the exterior.

It reminded me of my first can, a 1961 model. I remember that over a couple years, it averaged 17.5 mpg, mostly on the highway, and had no safety features that I recall - no collapsable steering column, no safety belts, nothing remotely like any stability controls. And blessedly, no damn screens. I can't remember if it had a radio but it did have a heater. Both were optional, I think. Mine was turquoise.

The Rolls has a pop up hood ornament that is concealed when the car is off.

but it did have the rain gutters and still got 17.5 mpg
