I may get banninated, but the Jaguar E-series were, to my eye, the most butt-ugly cars ever released (and I damn near bought a used F-series; also nearly bought that Old Toronado as my first car).

Gotta admit-while well outside my orbit, I had (my desire only) to test drive the Jaguar E series 12 cylinder in 1972. I offered enough justification aka bull$hit and car in the lot to get behind the wheel. Fun ride and the exhaust tone was sweet. Glad I experienced it as it is the only 12 cylinder car I have ever driven.

That’s a great list and good read, @lousubcap. Some cars I was familiar with and expected to see on the list, but many I had never seen. Good mix of relative grocery-getters and machines that were bred to race.

Totally agree with you on the Es, @Botch!

Did that with a skull mounted 6x6 elk and a full pedestal mount 10pt mule deer. The looks in traffic were comical

I did it with my mother in law. She expired on a long road trip an it didn’t make sense to keep her inside specially after she started to smell and whatnot. We did get some funny looks.

My 20YO son who details cars had me stop over to check out my dream car he was working on. He had my 14 YO start it and lightly blip the throttle a couple times. Don't mind my 14 YO's work boots. I guess it is an insane spec R8. That's about all I know.
Edit: this is pre-detail. Not sure if it is in for ceramic coating or just what.

Vw based? If so, the exhaust note would leave a lot to be desired. Growing up my dad had old Volkswagens. A lot of kit cars were based on those chassis.

I am not sure. My father was in an adjacent bottega speaking to the shop owners, who knew the car and declared it a kit car. They told him the engine was underpowered, but I found that it sounded better than I expected upon startup.

No pics because I was driving and SWMBO thought taking photos of other cars from our window was ridiculous (and to be fair, she probably ain’t wrong), but I passed 2 Austin Martin DBXs on the Merritt Parkway in CT last weekend.

I understand the struggle. I sometimes try to press my wife into service in photographing the exotics while I’m driving, but she is too reluctant for the same reasons.
