I can show you the house to match. Around the corner from us, there is a house we call the “Barbie Dreamhouse”. My kids sometimes say it too loudly as we walk by.Gulfcoastguy said:I think this is Barbie’s Dream Car, a pink Cadillac SUV.

Looks like a “Mary Kay” caddie, I used to see them around RDU.South of Columbus, Ohio.

Mary Kay! THAT was it! I was trying to remember what business did this; it wasn't Avon, it wasn't Tupperware, it wasn't xxx <I'm trying to remember this last one, it came in a square bottle... it'll come to me in the shower tomorrow.alaskanassasin said:Looks like a “Mary Kay” caddie, I used to see them around RDU.
EDIT: And just as my finger hit "Send", it came to me: Amway!
But it wasn't Amway, it was Mary Kay.
I'm going to bed.

My company owned a pre WWI Baker Electric. Ran like a whirring top. Motor case had never been cracked and my company had installed a solar panel on the roof, predating APTERA by decades......
It had rotating 'thrones' so the front 2 passangers could talk to the rear couple, one of whom was actually the driver......tiller / pedals. Interior mostly red velour. Jay Leno helped with a few items since he had one JUST LIKE IT in his collection....and I think some documentation..... -
The company I worked for owned a pre WWI Baker Electric.
Jay Leno helped us get it back running since he owned one, too.
Driven from back seat! Front seats are rotating 'throne' type so the front persons
can turn to converse with the back seat people.......And since you can not really exceed
maybe 15mph? Fairly safe and NO seatbelts! -

Neighbor has one. No dealerships in LA but he got his in Houston. Said they have about 50 “used” ones on the lot from women thinking they’re getting a rugged G wagon and turn em back in inside of 6 weeks lolWeberWho said:INEOS Grenadier

Yeah, I'm surprised they went with BMW and not some V8. It gets awful fuel mileage. I think it's something like 16 city/highway. I love the look of it but I'm not sure I'd want a B58 in it. It must be halfway decent if Toyota is using it."The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

We have a b58 in our car and I thought it would be a lot to ask of it to be in a suv but apparently they put them in the x5, x7WeberWho said:alaskanassasin said:Had to google that one! I wonder how the B58 performs wrapped in a turd?

I knew it was a popular option for BMW/Toyota for their cars but I didn't realize it was also used for their X5 and X7. Since INEOS is a European company, using the b58 makes sense as I'm sure a good portion of their sales are in Europe and parts available here in the US.

On occasion I’ve wondered if BMW’s business model wasn’t to make engines with the goal of selling more parts.WeberWho said:alaskanassasin said:

I seriously want this Aztek! Not only is it an Aztek but look at that glorious wolf mural painting on the side of it! Some people just know how to live the good life!

Problem there is that the Aztek and the Cybertruck, although they don't share the look, are equally beautiful. That is to say, not. Just my opinion....Somewhere on the Colorado Front Range

First? Sorry about wanting an Aztek. Another misstep for GM. Makes me wonder what the
Fiero would have done with a proper engine.......The Quad-4 of the era?
Anyway?
Photo of a Nissan Figaro. I spotted it up at the Albertsons.....and have never seen one before.
Apparently sold ONLY at specified Datson Dealers and ONLY in Japan.....I believe this is an origianl color though certainly a repaint.....NOTE: Headlights have Eyelashes......

That’s awesome @Begger. That’s as exotic as it gets.

Bought a used red Datsun 1600 Sports with twin SU carbs in 1972 that sat in the Florida sun most of it's life, purchased when the USN transferred me from Mayport to PAFB, for a little project in support of a competition between Westinghouse and Gould for the next fleet Torpedo. No longer have the car or even a photograph but man, it was a fun daily driver. A1A from Patrick to the Cape was a great, morning wakeup drive.
Edit- that model car was the predecessor of the Z-car.Ubi panis, ibi patria.

Datsun 1600 turned into the improved Datsun 2000 which later morphed into the 'FairLady' which came to OUR (USA) shores as the Datsun 240Z.........

From a 'car show' near my house......2 miles and a tick.......This small club featured ALL late model Chrysler products. This one a Beaut.......
Though in the years since this was taken, Chrysler has abandoned these guys....... -
Great memory shared. My father always spoke highly of Datsuns, but never owned one. But in his youth, he worked in a garage and was exposed to many cool cars.SamIAm2 said:Bought a used red Datsun 1600 Sports with twin SU carbs in 1972 that sat in the Florida sun most of it's life, purchased when the USN transferred me from Mayport to PAFB, for a little project in support of a competition between Westinghouse and Gould for the next fleet Torpedo. One of those crazy, perfect cars? DATSUN 510. A clone of the Ford Cortina. Similar look and dimensions, even. But no oil leaks like the Brit and certainly was as reliable as a rock.
Not 'cool' but just good transportation. Even had an IRS so you could make it handle! The 4cyl was shall I say.....adaptable? My buddy had a pair of sidedraft Webers.....and he raided the dealership for Euro tail lights, tach kit (plugged right in) and a new dash.
It may be possible to fit a 5 speed manual..... -
Had a 510 wagon.... It wasn't THAT reliable. Had a radiator leak, a worn-out clutch and later, a massive electrical fault that led to the car being sold, all in about 12 years.Somewhere on the Colorado Front Range

You folks are missing out. I had a Datsun B210 79 fastback as my second car. It was amazing. You could change the oil without any effort and with all the back seats folded down I could get most of the tennis team to games (clearly without seatbelts).
-
My dad bought a Datsun B210 wagon for my mother in 1979, a standard, and he traded in her automatic. Then he immediately left on a 2 week business trip. Fun times!
-
Mine was a standard. Didn’t even know they came as an automatic 😂
-
Not that I know of but the Chevy Impala 🍋 that she had been driving was. As well as the previous 2 cars.I was actually driving a B210 sedan myself, at least before I crushed it like a coke can.
