Not on the Egg (I know, sacrilege), but I've been slammed with things I wanted to get done this weekend so opted to fire up the gasser. Ate well regardless!!! Nice bone-in Ribeye about 27oz.
Where is this casino, that one can send their wife, and SIL, to? Asking for a friend…

There are several here in the MD/VA area. Not nearly as many as when we were in the Seattle, WA area though. The Native Americans had a strangle hold on that area. It's nice to send her off every once and a while, but those slot machines can suck down hundred dollar bills like I used to drink beer.Chris

Mango pie. With ginger, cardamom, and cloves. Nicole Ruckman’s cold butter method. Increased the butter to 82%. Turned out to be a good move

I love pie, but have only occasionally come across one that wowed me (most have been made by eggheads, btw). So, pies have been a slow quest over the years.
Upping the butter in the dough is definitely a win!#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

Kinda Salisbury steak (added some spicy Italian sausage to the beef before making patties) with oven roasted potatoes. Only things BGE are the garlic butter I used on the potatoes and the smoked sea salt I used to finish the dish.
-
@caliking - pie looks great. I see where you are down to the single thread weave for the crust. I'm sure it was near impossible to taste the difference between the single and double weave.

@caliking Thanks for the tease again, I now have a craving for in season Niagara peach pie but I'm too lazy to make one

@lousubcap that is lazy fork placement meaning I didn’t properly set the table for dinner 😖. DH needed to work tonight so his dinner was delivered to his desk instead of set at the table.

Deconstructed a turkey today.
Boneless whole breast with drummettes, unseasoned, vac sealed for the freezer.
Boneless legs seasoned with salt, cracked black pepper and garden thyme/sage/oregano.
Turned into glue-less roulades and vac sealed for the freezer.
Should be an easy cook for Labour Day or Turkey Day.

Knowing you, highly encourage taking a crack at a home-made pie, with fruit that is in season. Spoil those granchilluns some more!#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
For the recent forum participants @Canugghead is the turducken surgeon. He is just warming up right there. Wait til he does the real deal. Not to be missed.

Tom-Yum soup, sub’d in some non-traditional vegetables. Flavor was amazing, the pan seared cauliflower went really well.

Just a couple burgers on the Small. Thought I still had some dill slices but was out, so used a new bottle of Heinz Dill Relish (purchased for upcoming potato salad) and it along with Dizzy Pig Redeye Express is a combo I'll be returning to. Definitely a four-napkin meal."First method of estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him."

are those different from curry puffs, different ingredients?fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Generally, curry puffs are like puff pastry turnover filled with ground meat curry. Samosa fillings are usually potato, onion and peas, the crispy crust is more dense. Of course there are many variations of both.fishlessman said:Canugghead said:swmbo made cheater samosas using soft taco shell as wrapper.
