Great meal, @BeanHead! Turns out that caliprince is a fan of grits/polenta as a side, so will try this.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

I don't care what spoon you used, that looks delicious!#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

Omg, a big tvBeanHead said:In the good wife department DH has a new giant TV (probably too large) in the main living room, in the bad wife department I didn’t think about early game “sports food” for lunch (no worries I’m ready with an appropriate menu for the Gator game tonight). Lunch is polenta with spicy Italian sausage patties in a spicy red sauce.
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
it is honestly too big for the space but he is so darn happy 🤣

If you remove the corner cabinet, he can easily get 100” up there centered lol

pork tenderloin. 1 with blues hog rub, 1 with montreal seasoning. 350 direct for 15-20 mins max. pull at 135 -
Thank you for all the compliments! Okay don’t let him know… but even if it is too big for the space… it is awesome. I can even read the small print ticker tape scores from the kitchen 🤣. Glad y'all like the living room setup. If I wasn’t opposed to clutter I would have his and hers magnets for the fireplace map.

I say let him enjoy. Guys always want an extra few inches.BeanHead said:Thank you for all the compliments! Okay don’t let him know… but even if it is too big for the space… it is awesome. turning on my left side of the brain for a minute, i think that the TV would look more like it fits if you were to lower it so that the top of the TV was the same height as as the mantle. Ties the two together. That would tie the TV into the piece below when they are closer together.
The two birds (which I love BTW) would then look good on a live edge shelf above the TV. The crouching one looking down at you from above the TV would be a hoot.

One of the best recommendations we’ve gotten. We have a wall mounted tv in our living room that we don’t use that much. When we do, we love having the ability to pull down the tv and pivot it towards the audiencezaphod said:turning on my left side of the brain for a minute, i think that the TV would look more like it fits if you were to lower it so that the top of the TV was the same height as as the mantle. I had a fantastic kinda Greek MiniMax menu planned for lunch and now it is a weird sheet pan meal. We don’t get much rain here so I’m not gonna complain when it comes…

Thanks @johnmitchell I aim for 75% veggies in every meal but am occasionally skewed in the favor of protein…

Great variety of cooks happening here. Hats off to the chefs.

d’Oh! I usually brown up a lb of ground pork for my green chile stew, but the supermarket didn’t have any ground pork (??). They did have some cubed pork for chile verde, $3.07 for just under a lb, so I bought that.
And completely forgot to add it!
Tomorrow morning I’ll brown it up and add it to the stew. Man I’m getting senile."First method of estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him."
