Kansas on Tuesday will be a real test.  I’m looking forward to that one.

Yep- 1099 (consulting deal) for an overseas friend who, with a partner, founded and developed a company  ( some 40+ years ago) with some leading edge technology desired by the US gubmint . Based outside the US and desired by US DOD and now with a US subsidiary requires some gate keepers to check a box in the great admin chain.  Glad to help out.
If you ever need a cohort, sign me up :) I will hold your briefcase and hand you your pens to check the box!
…And if you need a second, I’ll be on standby with a bottle to facilitate your launch into LEO.

Sounds like a really interesting gig. Thanks for sharing.

Dang-I blame my lack of focus on this due to the fact that Thanksgiving felt like a Sunday so there was no way yesterday was Friday.  I am now realigned with the calendar.

I was stoked!!  Thought I had another day before Monday.  Now I am just sad and still never know the day of the week.

Yep-at least down scope to one more functional than just time (and with more than four numbers)!  =)

A watch collector shows his stripes although definitely hinted at in the past when looking for high -end timepieces.  I'm sure there are more.  However good that you only wear one at a time-a bit conflicted if more than one and they don't agree.
BTW-one of the few benefits of old (and with a lawn) is not having an issue with living analog vs digital.   =)

+1 on this, analog (analogue 🙂) complements nature, digital can only approximate it.

@Canugghead you have some fancy chronographs.  My lame watches can get it right every 12 hours.  B)

I did, weekly, (weakly?), for a semester (year?).  Never got to the top.
Until I did.  This humiliating exercise, one day, pissed me off so much that I just went for it, didn't look down, just kept grabbing.  Got closer, and closer, to the top, then I heard them: my whole gym class quit what they were doing and were cheering me on!  (the geek/nerd of the class!)
I made it!  The metal rope collar was cold, but I also touched the ceiling.  Then I looked down, and panicked; dammit that was high!  Quelled that, slowly moved back down, and got to the floor without killing myself (no rope burns that I remember).  Never did it again, but I didn't care; would love to know how high it was in that gym.

Did it in elementary and middle school.  Always looked forward to it.  Ours put thin (3”) vinyl covered foam gym matts below us to  save us from the fall.

It was a given several decades ago.  I recall taking on the ropes for several years.  The trick was to take advantage of the leg purchase.

Recently got back from a holiday civic commitment that went quite well, but ran way longer than I was told/expecting.  Now to catch up on more serious endeavors.
