@DoubleEgger why did you dislike the old one so much? Is the new gal that much better?

It was just worn out. The beater locking mechanism is in marginal condition at best and one of the beaters started to get a wobble in it. I called it the Hamilton BeeyatchOzzie_Isaac said:@DoubleEgger why did you dislike the old one so much? Is the new gal that much better?I am looking forward to the coated beaters on the new model. The standard beaters are rough on bowls and too loud. Also, it has some balloon style beaters that will whip cream in two minutes. That’s faster than I can get the stand mixer set up.I’ve been on a mission to replace any crappy kitchen items that I have just lived with for some time. I ended up scoring some cheap ammo that I found on clearance for the range. I bought the last 3 boxes that were available. While the .22 is a cheap round from the start it's hard to pass up for 3 cents a round.

Just bought and replaced a car battery (preventive buy). The cost went up 33% in 4 1/2 years. I figured the maker was jacking the price. I then hit up the BLS inflation calculator and found where that increase tracks the inflation driven cost rise. I did not think it was that high. Ouch-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Somehow two pictures got selected. The first is by the road in my front yard. The second is a book that I found at a bookstore. I put it back because I have plenty of cookbooks. Then I found that today was 40% off on Amazoid. So it will arrive Saturday.

We eat there or get take out there almost weekly. One time at the cashier for ordering I said about trying the special “I am sure it will be great, everything I have ever eaten here has been good.” And she laughed and said “well yeah isn’t that the point”. And it is so true at face value it wasn’t even arrogant.Gulfcoastguy said:

Sheet music. My wife is a great sight reader and can play just about anything at first glance. Love listening with a cocktail. Only downside is that I pretty much need to twist her arm to do it.I waxed her piano this morning though, so I don’t feel too badly about it.

Totally dig Lana Del Rey …. can’t figure out her back story but love the moody, bluesy, jazz type pop music.
