Here is an interesting product made by an Alabama company named CarbonBuilt. It both reduces the CO2 required for the cement binder in concrete building blocks by using waste materials(proprietary blend so I don't know exactly what waste materials) and curing the blocks using carbon dioxide gas instead of steam and heat. I picked a short video of 4 minutes but there are ones twice as long on ewe tube.

For me it comes down to the following: the oil companies built the gas stations to enable the nascent internal combustion cars to get fuel. Seems like the electric power generating companies should like-wise build the charging infrastructure. Somebody is gonna have to produce the power to charge the cars. But I'm old and just looking at a model from well over a century ago. I'm sure there were deals struck back then but w/o the internet and 24/7 news cycle only the power brokers knew about it.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. In the federal NEVI program private companies are required to put up 20% of the money . The feds will help with maintenance for the first 5 years. In Florida a private power company is already putting in chargers before there was federal funding. A growing number of North Americans are experiencing the effects of climate change in a new way this week after smoke from more than 350 Canadian wildfires drifted south, triggering health advisories as far south as the Carolinas and as far west as Indiana. For Canadians, it's their worst wildfire season in recorded history.
Flights were halted in and out of New York and New Jersey on Wednesday. Officials in affected states called off field trips, sports, and outside recess at schools. Some governments have asked businesses and municipal departments to limit outdoor activities until the air clears—possibly as early as the weekend.
Major League Baseball's Philadelphia Phillies postponed their Wednesday night home game against the Detroit Tigers at Citizens Bank Park; same for the Yankees hosting the Chicago White Sox in New York. In some of the most affected regions, air pollution can be worse just before sunrise, which means for folks without a gym membership, outdoor exercise like cycling requires an N95 mask, or better still: Just wait a couple days for those al fresco workouts.
