just saw that DOJ made it official that trump himself is now under criminal investigation from the DOJ.
Not enough/large-enough of these in the world!

The DOJ has to have a clean head-shot for that to go forward.  You get one bullet and one shot.  Can't miss.  Tall hill to climb but I hope they will.

The VP debate would be quite a spectacle...

You’re assuming there will be debates.

Surely, in the end-game the R's cannot be that stupid.  Perhaps wishful thinking but if Cheeto rides in on his big white horse we as a nation are gonna be in a very dark place.
Since the R leadership doesn't have the balls to send him packing, the Justice Dept needs to come thru.  That's my only consolation right now.

Harris has no chance.  She's been marginalized beyond salvation-a good thing as I view it.
The run-up will be a $hit show but as long as Cheeto is on the sideline, I can work with anyone else.

One possibility that I've been mulling for a long time:

    - The 1%er Class (who the rank-n-file republicans actually work for) decide that cheeto is too dangerous, and order the RNC to support deSantis (this may be already happening),

    - cheeto continues to hold rallies.  The "love" he gets is intoxicating, and he can't give it up,

    - he doesn't get the republican nomination.  his ego of course can't accept that, so he immediately forms his own party (hopefully built by his website team), and runs,

    - the republican vote is split in two, and the dems take it in a landslide.

Now, just today I caught wind of another development: apparently a bunch of dems, including one of my favorites from their party Martin Yan, are forming their own party.  Supposedly planted right in the middle, politically.  Personally I'd like to see BOTH these things happen; after watching how things happen, my whole adult life I'm convinced a two-party system is Not the right way to go, anymore.

Agreed; she has as much of a chance as Pence does.

1992- G.H.W. Bush lost because of Ross Perot and his 19% of the popular vote was made up of more R's than D's.  That was a major influencer in the outcome.  Yes, "It's the economy, stupid" phrase was a great hook but...
Be extremely careful of what you wish for and know going in how the third party is gonna break on election day because their candidate isn't gonna win.  FWIW-

As a quick clarification, I was hoping for four parties, not three.   ;)

    d'Oh!!  Andrew, not Martin.

And, as a pre-emptive disclaimer, my favorite repub presidential candidate is Larry/Hulk/Paul/Ben Hogan.  He won't win as he doesn't look Presidential; that shouldn't matter but sadly it does.

I can't see myself supporting a third-party candidate no matter how much I might want to unless ranked choice voting was also in place.

That is true, Harris seems unlikely to be put in a position where she has to uphold the Constitution over the objection of her boss.

As I sit here watching the news, the topic of voter distrust of elections in New Hampshire came up, which the individuals interviewed stated has never been an issue in the past.

As I've stated before, I spent 24 years in the Navy. Those 24 years were all spent in the Intelligence Community. If you really want understand what is a contributing factor to this, do some "research" on Russia and their success in psychologic operations/propaganda; the short story being they are masters of it. That and any story involving Russia's use of a useful idiot.

If you think anything about the 2016 investigation into former president Trump was "Russian Hoax", disregard any of the above. I'm sorry I wasted your time.

the voters in nh are not talking of voter fraud at all in nh, its just the few elected townies trying to push it from what i see up here. lots of talk from the old guys though about fraud in other states

Well, they did their own research on the internet so check mate to you.

It's amazing how the same people can be Vaccine experts one day, Russian Intelligence the next, Economists the next, Constitutional scholars on top of it all without ever leaving the comfort of their keyboards or televisions.

God forbid they crack a book or listen to the doctors, vaccine specialists, military intelligence officers and others we have right here. Even if they are conservative folks, if it does not match up to what they saw on Tucker or their Facebook feeds, you are the idiot and they are "informed" lol.

    Thanks for sharing.
