Been out of the computer game for about 15 years, but looks like my son is starting to build up a new computer. These showed up this morning. Crypto crash has done wonders for computer component prices. Not only can you actually get parts now, but they can be found heavily discounted.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Ooff, those rifle plates look heavy and hot, but better than being dead. Stay safe.Battleborn said:

They are. Luckily, it isn’t an everyday wear. Only for “ OH, SH!T” moments and training. My everyday vest is pretty bad. IIIA+ with supposed edged weapon protection. The bottom half of my uniform top this week looked like I wrote it in the shower.Ozzie_Isaac said:

I have so many knives but I love the Bugout series. For the price they’re a heck of a deal IMO.LBGE, 28” BS, Weber Kettle, HCI 7.8 SE Texas -

Just got a tour of a neighbour’s house in the midst of a massive, massive reno. They bought a big, 50s bungalow on a huge lot and are redoing everything from the studs. Kitchen features a Wolf range with pot filler and all sorts of other kitchen goodies. They are way over budget. May try to snap photos and share once done, if I’m not too embarrassed to ask. Didn’t have the gumption during today’s tour.(Edit: A decorative Wolf nameplate on their range failed to adhere properly during installation. Rather than simply send them a new plate with adhesive backing worth a few bucks, Wolf is having a certified technician visit to check out the issue. Apparently, only Wolf technicians can touch the range, lest the owners wish to void the warranty. Beautiful appliance, but that sounds like a bit of a nightmare, TBH.)

Rabbit hole got deeper, just ordered this, cheaper than buying extra probes separately. Selling the Weber iGrill2 to ease the pain.

Apparently Wolf isn't familiar with the new "Right to Repair" law, which even Apple has acquiesced to (although very begrudgingly).GrateEggspectations said:(Edit: A decorative Wolf nameplate on their range failed to adhere properly during installation. (Edit: The worst part is that the owners admit to cooking only Kraft Dinner and grilled cheese. They said I could prepare a meal for them there upon reno completion though. 🙂) -
Primary Arms sling bag. Good as a range bag or quick go bag. Likely won’t use it much but was on a great sale and provides a tertiary option

Tonight was the Mousetrap. SWMBO Jr is an Agatha Christie fan and a theatre kid, so everything about it appeals to her. We’ll also see a musical while we’re there, but this will be our Xmas present from my parents, so this checks everybody’s boxes.saluki2007 said:

Sound like typical Ferrari owners. All that sophisticated technology and soul wasted on a 65 year old who just put-puts around.GrateEggspectations said:

Bought a new Public Defender Poly at Academy in Killeen. While there went to buy ammo. NO AMMO FOR IT AVAILABLE. No .410 or .45COLT at all. Not having any luck in Austin as well.

Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd. -
Probably not a Weber anytime soon.

Have seen 45LC on the shelves at our local gun shops. A lot of the Cowboy Action shooters use it. Joe Bob Outfitters had it.

I have a stainless steel Judge, which is very similar. It consumes 3" .410, 2.5" .410 or .45 long Colt. I reload pistol and rifle ammo, so the .45LC was no problem. It shoots those very well. But, I wanted to try some various .410 loads, and couldn't find any. I picked up a cheap .410 reloader and have been rolling my own .410 with various muzzle loader balls. My go to is 3 balls of .38 caliber. They come out of that thing and make a perfect anti-home-intruder pattern.Mickey said:Bought a new Public Defender Poly at Academy in Killeen. I really like the thing. I hope you find ammo for it!Clinton, Iowa -
