Speaking of utensils drawer, I am looking at it now and half the stuff in there doesn’t get used. Time for cleanup!

Strawberry/tomato corer is one of my favorite cheap tools, works for lots of things, sadly too small for ice cream.

I use my thumb for Roma tomatoes. Slice around outside, then use thumb to push out whatever juice and seeds are in each piece. Super quick and easy.Legume said:

Try dredging a whole strawberry in sour cream and then roll in brown sugar then eat. Greek yogurt would work as well.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -

This is akin to our solution, which is SWMBO uses whatever she wants with grapefruit and I don’t touch the nasty little buggers.Ozzie_Isaac said:

A Kakuri japanese block plane.
I've got a collection of Stanley, Record, Lie-Nielsen, and Bridge City planes, but have never played with a Japanese plane before. The blade is adjusted by tapping on it with a small hammer, and like most Japanese tools, they cut on the pull stroke.
This isn't a fancy one, we'll see how flat the blade is and how well aligned. Flattening the bottom of a wood body will be cake compared to iron or brass. For $22 I thought I'd get one to play with. It was made in Japan, not China.
I'm guessing you have already seen a Japanese planing competition. If not you should check one out.

I've started to get some Amazon Prime Day stuff in. I chose no rush because nothing I needed now. However, it's always fun when something comes in that you absolutely forgot buying. I remembered the battery tire inflator, but totally forgot the Lord of the Rings special edition. I held the box and thought man this small box is heavy what is it. I opened it up and was pleasantly surprised.

$350 to in car batteries. Meeting the horse hauler a few hours away and was prepping the truck and trailer. This heat plays havoc on older batteries. Luckily had time to get it all fixed before I needed to leave.
