    considering this Gazebo/Pergola for some rain/snow protection, but not real sure how to anchor to the ground to withstand some high winds . . .

    Saw where engel coolers just came out with a rechargeable live bait aerator ($50) and decided I needed one. I’m tired of buying D batteries. Checked Amazon and they had an off brand for $23.

    I don't know about the liquor barns in Louisville, but in Elizabethtown you have to be lucky to be there when they open the boxes

    This box is the XL version and you could probably fit 10 or so picks.  I purchased 2 of these 40s and one 60 that hasn’t arrived yet.  They have a fantastic bevel on the right side that makes up strums feel like butter.  If your order direct from BlueChip you can have a name or whatever added to the back of the box and/or the picks.

    Apart from bevel, are there any other reported advantages? Give us any available deets, please. 

    And have you tried the IBJ55? Do you know how it compares in size to the Jim Dunlop Jazz III, which has always been my go to?

    @GrateEggspectations - from my perspective, there is no "if I'm deep diving here" you are but that's what elevates this forum.  Learn something new dang near every day.

    @GrateEggspectations This is my time using BlueChip picks.  This pick you mention is a little thick for me.  I prefer around a 1 millimeter size, give or take, for an all around pick.  However, I do occasionally use heavier picks when playing arpeggios.  For that I usually use Taylor Dark Tones.   So far, I’m impressed with BlueChip.  Is it worth the premium? If I’m still using it in 6 months then I guess so.  Unlike you, I’ve never been monogamous with picks.

    Nice. I bought some narex chisel blanks and I'm slowly turning handles for each size to fit my hands. At this point it's fruitless, as I can barely do hand work anymore, just slowly slogging through the lathe with the handles to force myself to finish the set. They make phenomenal edge tooling, particularly for the price point.

    Assembled and works great.  Had to hurry home to cook dinner for some friends otherwise I would have split some wood (just did one piece of live oak)

    Does anyone use the word ‘plectrum’ anymore?  When I was young living in England, I took classical guitar lessons.  We never used plectrums (picks) for the style of guitar I played, but that was what we called picks.

    The most frequent use I’ve seen is in guitar instructional books and literature. I’ve never heard “can I borrow your plectrum?” at a jam or gig.
