I love this forum! Wife and I were just looking at those adirondack chairs 2 days ago at Costco. I haven’t had a chance to do a search and look up the reviews up yet. But with this info, I will pull the trigger and buy a couple. Thanks!
The reviews online are not all super good but the only plausible explanation IMHO is lack of common sense or manual skills.  There is one step in the assembly instructions that is not super clear and could explain the comments about the lack of pilot holes (if you assemble one of the pieces backward).  The other thing is that there are shards of resin on the pilot holes, on the end of some pieces, and where channels have been machined.  I had difficulty aligning some of the pieces until I removed most shards with a knife (it was obvious that the shards were the problem).  This was not mentioned in the assembly manual… You also need to be careful if using a drill, again, common sense.

They are super sturdy too, the one on the high deck meets with my fat ass multiple times a day during summer months and a couple of times weekly when there is snow.  It is facing south (full sun) and shows no signs of fading/aging.

    Thanks @paqman

For some reason, your post with the description showed up only after the one with photos only. Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it. I think I’ll pull the trigger, much like @bbracey21.

I mean it is Costco so if you are not happy, you bring it back!  They typically sell for 150$ toward the end of the season with a final clearance at 130$ if you are lucky but last year they all sold out at 150$.  I can see that the tables are only available in red now.

Was actually gonna ask how it handled ample bottoms, so you’ve resolved that for me.
  • This is the woot! Stuff that I didn’t need but couldn’t pass up 83% off.  I got these for less than I would pay to ship them back.  About $70, free shipping and they both weigh over 100 pounds.
Nice score. I didn’t see your woot alert until 6pm so I missed out but I’ll keep my eyes open for the next deal. I didn’t need the grill or griddle but at those prices I could not pass them up. Basically free.

I have 8 of those, 2 year of full sun and full winter and I just power washed yesterday and they look new.

On the upside tho, after a few years, say maybe seven, if they start to look dingy you can just take them back for a refund or replacement.

Ha. Isn’t that the truth!  You can take anything back to Costco at anytime for a full refund.

I can say with confidence that it will handle any bottom regardless of “ampleness” 😂🤣

What I’ve noticed is they don’t loosen up or develop any wiggle at all.  Also heavy, not overly so, but they won’t move unless you want to move them.

I have 2 brown ones on the porch - love them!  My neighbour has 6 red ones that get buried in the snow, still look brand new. No better deal out there!

Why is the price tag on one of the little oars? Honestly, they could have put it anywhere and it would have looked so much better. A price tag on the one piece that looks like both a  short spoon and a paddle seams like an odd choice from an artist that can paint rodents in a birch bark canoe like nobody's business

Going to buy a backpack blower and a string trimmer or two.  Will be investigating battery for the string trimmers.  I have a 13 year old kid that will likely be operating it.  I'm assuming they are much quieter than a gas trimmer which would be nice around the campground.  My mind is dead set against any battery backpack blower.  We have about 15 acres with trees that drop leaves.  I will just buy the most powerful Red Max Blower in stock.  Pics to follow.  The trigger pull is looking like tomorrow at this point.  I'm quickly running out of day.

@ColbyLang I am currently contemplating an FN57 for the same purposes.   Hogs here have gone hog wild lately and coyotes are picking up heavily too.

I have never seen my wife look so disgusted in my life.  I told her I wanted it for the sofa table.
My wife had the same response.  I wanted to put it on the fireplace mantle.
