@pgprescott Thank you sir. I’ve never had the blue before. I’m more of a single malt guy myself but I’m sure this will not disappoint.

I’m a single malt guy at heart too. Obviously I do not limit myself to that though 😜shtgunal3 said:@pgprescott Thank you sir. I’ve never had the blue before. I’m more of a single malt guy myself but I’m sure this will not disappoint.
if I had to choose one spirit it would be single malt scotch though. No question. -
Nice! I have never had a chance to try the Blue Label. I bet it is fantastic! Enjoy.shtgunal3 said:

That's a winner in my book. Sweet pour!pgprescott said:
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Not drinking yet, but added this to the collection today.

Driftless Glenn. Distilled and bottled in Baraboo Wisconsin. Got a bottle from my bil last Christmas and was very impressed. My expectations were low but it’s a winner. Owners are the Bemis family that made its money in auto dealerships. Hope to do a tour some day. Worth a look. Cheers! 🥃

Disappointed in this one. I enjoy the standard Basil but this one is just flat to me. Nothing really stands out.

That was my assessment to @saluki2007. Just nothing memorable at all for a ten year. I suppose I should revisit it now that it’s been opened a while. It’s fine but was like you and hoping for better from a 10yr.pgprescott said:Picked up another Kentucky Spirit and a 10yo Basil Hayden’s. The 10yo Basil intrigued me. It’s ok but not demonstrably different from the original. While there, the owner notified me he had Joseph Magnus Cigar blend coming in today. I came back later and bingo! I’ve been wanting this bottle for a couple years. 🥃
They can’t all be winners! -
Yeah, it’s certainly not cheap. Retail is around $250/bottle. Never had triple bock but from what I have gathered the triple bock is reminiscent of expensive soy sauce lol.fishlessman said:

the triple was more a slow sipping beer, i liked it but the world wasnt ready for it yet. nowadays it would fit right in. that utopia is not easy to find around here, ive never seen one and i like heavy cherry stout type beers so i know i would like that one

Also, check out the label there - Napa Valley CS produced over the hill in Fairfield. There's a story there. Also, that winery is about 5 miles from here.
Happy New Year!

This is excellent. Got some heat on it. Drop of water really opens it up.
