Just got done mucking stalls in the pouring rain.  Rain or shine, holiday or not.  They don't tell you this in the brochures.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

    Are the stalls not indoors?
  • Awaiting delivery of my wife’s Peloton. Not sure how I’m going to hide that thing for a day.
Tell her your holding for your buddy so his wife doesn’t see it.
One potential problem with this approach is you might get her opinion of said gift and might have to go into panic scramble mode.

No sir, not in AZ.  Indoor stalls are few and far between.  There are shades, but that is all.  We have a very mild climate (42F - 102F).  We do have some extreme cold days were it might get down to 33F.  Heat is the biggest issue with some days exceeding 115F.  In the bougie parts of the state like Scottsdale they do have indoor barns with AC.  However, I have ranch and rodeo horses, not jumpers, dressage, or polo horses.

    Ugh

19lb Costco prime brisket put on the large. 5.5 hours in and we're at 165 at the thickest part of the flat.  Grid at 275. Dome registering 225.  And here I thought I was being risky by such a late start.  Noon dinner bell tomorrow.

@klaton- All thermos calibrated?  19 lbs post trim or much lighter in the end game?  Depending on the cow and the preference, you may be just entering the stall.  If so, the  temperature rise (or fall-yes it happens) could very well be minimal for several hours.  FTC is your friend.
Stay the course and keep a watchful eye for Santa.
    Merry Christmas-
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Have not calibrated dome lately.  Thermo works smoke monitoring grid and protien.  My new themopen verifying protein temp.

I'm going to bed.  I'll set alarm for 5am and see what's happening.
