Looking For a Chip Dip Recipe Recommendation

Just like the title says, I'm looking for a dip recipe recommendation. My wife just called and she said they're doing a dip day tomorrow at work. Looking for some recommendations.

Thanks!

Man, browse local grocer deli departments. Look for something called Better than Cheddar. You can find the recipe online if need be. Might be a southern thing, but it’s damn good. Kick it up a notch by topping it with pepper jelly. Serve with Fritos or crackers

This is good stuff. Until, someone in your family decides to make it with canned chicken.

I make this all the time and it's awesome. But it's more of a cracker dip than a chip dip.

I must say I’ve tried several smoked cream cheese recipes and they are winners. I am positive Malcolm’s would be great as he is a national treasure. Good call Darth!

This never disappoints. Great with Kitchen Cooked Chips.

    Alton Brown Onion Dip

    3 tablespoons olive oil

    1 pound onions (diced)

    1 teaspoon kosher salt (divided)

    1 1/2 cups sour cream

    3/4 cup mayonnaise

    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon white pepper (freshly ground)

Place the oil, onions and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a 10-inch saute pan over medium heat.

Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown, about 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool for 15 minutes.

Place the remaining ingredients and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt in a medium mixing bowl, add the cooled onions and stir to combine.

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and stir again before serving.

Please keep the recipes coming! I'm calling an audible and smoking a couple blocks of cream cheese with some BBQ rub, and topped with jalapeno jelly, and crumbled bacon.

I asked my wife her thoughts and she said it might be nice to have something a little different than all chips. She will sneak this in with some Wheat Thins. I'll grab a pic when it's coming off the egg.

    This is good.
    1 cup mayonaise
3/4 cup grated Parmesan Reggiano (get the real thing)
    3-4 cloves of garlic, crushed
    1 tablespoon chopped chives
Mix well. Sprinkle the chives on top. Put in the fridge for at least 4 hours. Overnight is better.
I came up with the recipe.

Simplest one, but always good. Packet of French onion soup mix in a pint of sour cream.

If you live in an area that has a Publix, their brand of artichoke spinach dip is outstanding. It can be served hot or cold with joy found with both. The best purchased dip made if you ask me.
