PeteSliver I do both I order the Giordano's Stuffed Pizza from Chicago sometimes because we want it and other times for the Wife's birthday or for Christmas for the wife. She shares it with me. We order from Casey's and go pick it up when we want Pizza for dinner and we like the Pizza at Casey's. We get a small cheese and Italian Sausage and always tell the double sauce and if you think it's not enough add some more. Try one someday!

I was wondering that myself; are you in the Midwest, Gary?  There were Casey's thoughout IA, and South Dakota, but hadn't had my first pizza from them until a couple years ago; really good!  (even though I'm burned out on pizza)

@Botch you cannot be permanently burned out on pizza!  They are building a Casey’s gas station about 20 minutes away. Looking forward to trying the pie

I think it's stuffed with a 3 cheese blend and THAT is the reason for the high cost.
Do you have any tips for how I can make a three-cheese blend? Maybe a video?
Glad you asked!  Here is the most bigleyest video possible:

Possibly not, but it's been 7 or 8 years now, and I don't have many left (years).

LOL - we were new to Peoria 55 years ago and a boss took us out for a pizza and beer one Friday night. Honestly we NEVER have been back to Agatucci’s!

Heck no. I do like Chicago stuffed pizza, but limited.  I prefer to be able to eat more slices.
Me too!  I like the places that will double cut a pie for me, twice as many slices!

A guy walks into a pizza shop and orders a large cheese pizza. The counterman ask "Do you want that cut into six slices or eight?".  The guy thinks about it for a minute and says

"Better make it six. I don't think I could eat eight slices"
What did he do when he found out it was $40?

Realized he paid more per slice.

A 12” pizza has like $6 worth of ingredients in it (and I’m being gracious). No way I’m giving $40 for any pie

If it has six bucks worth of ingredients, they should charge 40 bucks for it.  More like $3-4.

There are other costs, obviously.  The pizza business is extremely profitable for the owners based on what I learned from some friends that were in the business.  Also, my BIL owned a Godfather's in Oklahoma for 30 years.  We had a long conversation once about cheese prices.  He had a walk-in where he would store massive amounts of cheese that he bought when the prices were down.  (maybe it was a freezer?).

Low moisture mozzarella freezes fine in my experience.

But I could see an upscale Neapolitan joint, or other high-end pizza place spending some money on the best/authentic/imported ingredients.

Germantown Grill, Caseys, then Khoureys.  A long time ago Dog'N Stuff was the easy winner.

If this multi-trillion dollar “relief” idiocy doesn’t end soon a crappy Jack’s frozen pizza is going to cost $150 when the inflation occurs.  Will go along well with the $8 a gallon gas.  I was getting tired of paying $2.10 a gallon.  I’m glad it’s been rising steadily since Jan 20.

If you are convinced of this outcome have you loaded up on debt, having the goal of paying it back with depreciated dollars?  That would seem to be the best play in your scenario.
I have a credit card that pays 4% back on gas purchases.  So, like you, I'm also glad to see the price rising.

Better get going before the 40% exit tax is enacted.  Remember it is the same they do when you die, they just do it before you are dead now.

With inflation, 11.5M will barely be enough to buy a vacation home and a few rental properties.
