The oven doesn't make BETTER pizza, just easier... and just as good. =)

Not over-rated, but I do think it's over-used. Apparently you haven't heard, some of us have to be more careful than others. But thanks for your support.

See, that's the problem I'm having following the instructions for this thread. I can't have a productive conversation; that's against the rules. I'm only supposed to offer an unpopular opinion of my own. How shall I know my opinion is unpopular? I don't generally offer an opinion and then poll listeners to determine if the opinion is unpopular. If I post an opinion here and someone agrees with it, do I need to remove the post since I've determined it's not actually unpopular? This is stressful. I'm at work and can't start enjoying adult beverages yet.

@Ozzie_Isaac I could always just go away and avoid the thread right?

Wagyu is not universally better for everything.  In correct applications it is not overrated, and price is relative.  Some folks drink $20k bottles of wine with dinner.

Kamado cookers are never the best option for cooking anything
I talked to Tuffy Stone once, and he told he has an XL Egg, but rarely uses it, and when he does, only for high heat cooks.

    BGEs do not need gaskets.

Houses don't need sealed doors and windows either.

I've been going commando now for at least a couple of years, and I agree.  You don't need a gasket to use a BGE effectively.

However, I do think it helps you use it efficiently, and there's a lot to be said for that.

Houses shouldn't be overly sealed, they need to be able to breath, otherwise you will have moisture issues.
