OT - Kolaches redux

Found some jars of homemade jam/marmalade accumulating in the fridge, so had another go at kolaches.
A dollop of lemon pineapple, orange grapefruit orange, or peach habanero bourbon jam in a bunch of them. And some with a cream cheese filling.
Made enough to share with a few friends
A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

Needs more bourbon next time. For both - the jam, and the cook!#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
You have added one more thing to the “rampage list” for the next time I stray from the path of righteousness. On a related note Kerlins BBQ in Austin is baking theirs now as well.(now only 16 stone)

GE induction stove
Gasser by the community pool (currently unavailable)
Scale (which one of my friends refuses to use)
Friends with BGEs and myriad other fired devices (currently unavail IRL)

you’re my favorite, Cali. My grandma Mabel used to make kolaches. She’s send us home with 3-4 dozen, typically cherry, strawberry, lemon and prune. They rarely survived the two hour drive back to our place. Kolaches will always have a soft spot in my heart. RIP Gramma!

We've all been lied to. In the first post, caliking suggested that he has friends...

Those look awesome. Great aunt on my mom’s side was first generation in the US Czechoslovakian and made kolaches every year around Christmas. My mom has the recipe some where, used to make on the order of 12 dozen and if I remember called for ~5lbs of lard. Thanks fo bringing up some good memories.

Not that good looking of a cook. Please box and send to Salado for proper disposal 🤫Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

D@mn! THAT's what they're supposed to look like!
I'm in Indiana, but we have a couple Kolache Factories (chain restaurant) in town. They're our go-to weekend lunch/breakfast; especially in the summer. I typically gravitate toward the savory options, but if their fruit kolaches looked like these, I'd change my tune!
What did your dough recipe look like, if you don't mind me asking? I've been thinking about whipping up a batch of yeast roll dough and stuffing with ham, eggs, jalapeños, cheese, but haven't got around to it. May need to repurpose part of the dough and add some good jam...Indianapolis, IN -
