It's a good thing that none of the other derelicts around here knew about it - or they would have stolen it from you.  Trust me, I know.

Cool. Thought that was weird. We install a lot of the 5G for ATT in the south east and they have been pushing it really hard. It’s going to be a couple years before it’s available to most people due to the range. Where a cell tower covers like a 3 mile radius the 5G signal is so weak it only covers like a 500’ radius right now. There are new radios that we have started putting on towers that will handle 5G but we haven’t launched any yet. Right now 5G is limited to small 2’ antennas on 25-30’ poles.

So, cell provider footprints are gonna need more towers/real estate to reach the broad area coverage is how I might interpret the above??  Just asking  and non attribution on a Q forum.  B)

Right now they aren’t even on towers they are going on small poles in the ROW. The ones that will be on the tower in the future should go further but we haven’t launched any that I know of. All the ones we are building now are on small poles and mainly in populated area. Here’s a pic I found online but there are many types of poles from standard wood poles to fancy ones with everything integrated inside and you can’t even tell it’s not a light pole.

I take it you’re using a short action? Who’s building it for ya? I just can’t bring myself to jump on the 6.5 wagon......yet. Happy shooting my 280 AI at anything out to 1,000 yards.
