These have always been good. It’s not pizza but it has a pizza flavor.

Cut in half and spoon scoop the guts out. Grill scooped halves direct about 400*. Remove and fill. Grill raised direct to bubbly. That’s what worked for me.

Yup, stole this idea! Made a batch last night as a test run for a cook we are hosting on Memorial Day. Ynette really likes these! We might tweak the 'recipe' a bit. We used chicken apple sausage and pepperoni, but might go for a more robust sausage next time. My question is that I want to serve these as appetizers, but I am not sure how to serve them. They are a bit messy to pick up as finger food (proof being Ynette's tee shirt!). Maybe pull them off and cut in half, or in bite size peices? I am open to suggestions.

You could use a melon ball scooper and do smaller enclosed sections that could be sliced into bite sized amounts

Whoo, that sounds like a lot of work, but I will keep it under advisement.

It's on the menu for this evening.

Making them again this week.  This time I was able to find mini pepperonis.  The family likes them better for this dish.

I have never seen mini pepperoni. I will have to research this extensively!

Thanks for posting, tried these last night and everyone loved them.  I was a big hero, especially with the wife because it was "my idea" and I did all the prep and cooking on a Monday night.
