Added this to the Glock’s for snakes and bedroom.

Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd. -
This is no joke. I went deep down the 10/22 rabbit hole. It sure was fun and eventually I will get back into it.stlcharcoal said:
I'd be interested to see how reliable that one is......only a matter of time before they make it for AR's. The 50 rnd Blackdog one I have for a 9" .22LR upper on my M16 is not very reliable. Its very finicky with the spring tension and the ammo (pain in the butt to load too!) It's quicker to just run two 25 round mags than to screw around with the drum......looks cooler though.1911Man said:Don't like the loading method with the Henry's... Completely unnatural to me to drop rounds down a tube like that. Especially full size rounds like 357 Magnum (and above). Maybe in a 22LR I'd be OK. But I'm looking to get a 10/22 to fill the 22LR rifle spot. Not to mention I can get a 110 round drum for that.
On 10/22, they're like a Jeep Wrangler......pretty cheap to get into, but you'll spend more than the initial investment pimping them out. You'll want to replace the mag release, trigger pack, etc with the Volquartsen stuff. Then I put a Williams iron site + rail set on mine. I started out with a Takedown when they first came out--I sent the barrel off to be cut down to 16" and threaded for a suppressor. I'd like to get the integral one they came out with. Also, Magpul has a replacement stock that allows you to lock the foregrip into the butt stock which is pretty cool (plus store 3 10rnd mags under the cheek rest.)
My final build was a 10/17 ... converted a 10/22 to a 17mach2. I think my relined barrel was more than the donor gun. Then add in the Volquartsen weighted bolt and other goodies. This was when we were still figuring out how to build them to be reliable. Weighted bolts, charge handles, springs, chambers, etc. Tons of fun and 100% foolish. Like most good hobbies
I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Waiting for them to release the D50 (50 round 308 Winchester/AR10).
I was looking through the 10/22 offerings tonight as well as looked at the Magpul stock options. Need to contact a couple of my LGS' and see what pricing I can get on the takedown options. There's a smith a town, or two, over that's set up to thread barrels. So I might just take the barrel to him for threading.Honestly, the 10/22 is lower down the list for things I need to get/complete. The AR10 pistol project is on deck and I need to start ordering those parts soon. Trying to decide if I want the 10.5" or 12.5" barrel there (same price). Twist rate will be 1x8.5, so it should be a tack driver to the distance I'd use it. I'm expecting large fireballs out the muzzle and lots of noise. Feed it with the D50 and expect to get some looks.Large BGE with CGS Woo Ring, stone with stainless pan, Smokeware chimney cap, Kick Ash basket and Kick Ash can.Living free in the 603 (Pelham). -
It was hard (for me) to hit a snake with 9mm. Bought 9mm shot and got a lot easier but bet this Shockwave will be sooooo easy. The Cen-Tex Smoker said:

I don't hate snakes, but I narrowly avoided getting bit by a moccasin on a few occasions and in urban areas they are pests because of kids, adults and pets are oblivious to where they step. So I shoot em. d e d. dee eee dee

I watched some of 60 minutes tonight, and now I think the real national emergency is Agent Orange in the White House."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Yeah, I didn't recognize probably half of the drivers. Since Jr. retired I haven't followed closely. Haven't been to a race since he retired. I miss the Earnhardt legacy.nolaegghead said:I watched some 500 for a bit earlier. Honestly got a bit boring. Like turns in both directions I guess.

20 years ago is to new. You want a nice Pre-64 piece. All this new modern composite this, plastic that, multiple safeties, round indicator bs is ruining guns.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I don't remember the part number but a certain oil filter would screw over the barrel with a lil electrical tape. Looked cool, like something out of road warrior. No other reason at all.______________________________________________I love lamp..

Us retired guys keep the pistols in the nightstand, and the shotgun in the closet by the bed. Can’t have too much firepower when SHTF!
