    The logo on the hat is that of Sleeping Giants. It is a social media movement dedicated to calling out and condemning hate speech, specifically by notifying companies that are unknowingly advertising on websites that provide a platform for hate speech.

    Not exactly what I was saying, but the activity is similar to the old posse system. What could possibly go wrong with that, right?  I’m sure vast majority of folks have great intentions. Just breathe a bit I recommend. Just because someone chooses to not follow this particular course doesn’t mean anything. Doesn’t mean they think  anti racism is equal to racism. Just means they think this particular course of action isn’t for them for any number of possible acceptable reasons. I would be very suspicious of those who choose to cast persons into sides or groups. Any who, doesn’t really matter, just an opinionated observation from the sideline. I’m sure you have considered the matter thoroughly enough to satisfy your personal standards. Carry on.

    I'm curious what the fennel pollen you bought looks/tastes like. The stuff I got looked alsmost sand-like and didn't have much flavor (tho it smelled nice).

    Has a more fennel texture to this one. Tiny little splinters as opposed to sand. Pronounced fennel-y licorice flavor. Not sure it’s much different than fresh fennel. Using instead of tarragon in a mustard/white wine/cream sauce right now. Ill
    let you know how it turns out. Went out to the garden and the tarragon had given up the ghost (been chilly the last few nights). Perfect opportunity to give it a try.
