People forget that E equals MC an the Gulf is shaped jus like a big C so it makes cents that the energy is big.  Duh!

Not to mention that as the storm gets older it dies out and does less jus like rap artists.  Young MC had a couple of big hits but as Old MC he hasn’t done much.
Thanks for this commentary, I feel dumber now.
Your welcome!  My nana always said “You can’t fix stupid!”  I remember her saying that to me a lot growing up, in between the beatings.
Was it one too many or one too few beatings?
    What?

If you want to look it up, weather forecasting is based upon non-linear differential equations.
Coupled systems of nonlinear PDEs, often with stochastic coefficients, to be precise.
    Bravo sir, bravo.  :)

Sorry to hear that. We were fortunate to get a lot of rain but no wind.....well, not much wind.
    Be safe.

We stayed in one right on the beach about 10 years ago with our sophomore HS kids and friends while our senior year kids were in PCB for their last spring break.  I was really great.  No more for sure.  Man vs Nature is no contest.

I remember having to cook a lot of meat after Katrina. The people at my office appreciated it. The deep freeze will keep for a few days  but might as well start emptying out the fridge unless you want to buy a new one.

Getting the backside of Michael now as he heads off the coast - the UPS's are really getting a workout as the power flickers. No power outage yet - fingers crossed.

  • Our tree, our fence, neighbor’s house.  No real structural damage to their house, thankfully.  Everyone is fine, but we’re without power here too.

It’s pine so probably not.  But I’ll use it for our chimney and our fire pit in the back.

Yep.  Just let the tree service haul that chit off and be done with it.  Fortunately, no one was hurt.

This one dropped just down from my office.

Here are a couple of before pics of Mexico Beach. Very little was on stilts. Those ground level oceanfront condos didn’t have a snowball’s chance in he!l of making it through. While the destruction was immense, it is very fortunate that Michael came onto shore where it did. In the big scheme of things, the area is BFE. There’s nothing but pines once you get a couple of blocks from the beach. The damage would be far more if the storm had moved west to towards Mobile Bay or New Orleans or east towards Tampa.

Offer to pay cash and negotiate. I beat down a $5400 tree removal quote to $3500 a while back.
