Fire. May scrape chunks (putty knife) into the fire.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Once they get dirty just go grab a new one. Just make sure you leave a couple cones for motorists

Although I also keep a cheap stainless steel putty knife nearby for really burn on stubborn stuff.
Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
Grates, never cleaned ‘cause they hold charcoal. Grids get scraped with Billy Bar or the super safe stainless wire brush.....Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I hang my grate and platesetter into the lake that I live on,the crawfish,turtles and carp do a fair job.

Why clean off all the favor?Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here. Very Extremely Stable Genius.

About once a year I have occasion to go to a commercial sand blaster and take them along. Works grate
