Welp, put on the hurricane shutters and proofed the house as best we could. Had to change plans about using the egg today for wings, as tomorrow I may not be able to clean:move properly.
Another couple is coming to stay at our house through it all, so I'm trying to enjoy it as long as we can.
7lbs of wings in the deep fryer and college football in our forecast tonight!

A friend of mine is in St. Petersburg, close to Tampa. She is on chemotherapy and her nice employer made her work yesterday rather than use the time to board her house.

We are just north west of Tampa, just boarded up the sliding glass door after dinner. Feeling safe but won't be able to see it (which may be a good thing).
Still a lot of movement can happen but we're expecting a direct hit (based on the current projections) starting tomorrow evening into Monday. Hoping it weakens overnight a bit. I'll keep you guys posted on how we're doing -
Lots of tornados happening here in Fort Lauderdale. Rain / wind is strong but nothing insane yet. Got the egg inside!! -

I don't know if we can trust it but the 11pm forecast shows it as a 3 when it hits Florida and down to a 1 a bit over Tampa. Say a 2 at Tampa? Of course there is still going to be storm surge.

Not looking good for the west coast of Florida. Sad because all of the early reports had it hitting us in SE Florida so we prepared all week but the west coast barely had a couple of days to prepare.
