I'm trying to decide how I can dove hunt (mid Sept) with the guys until dark and then come home and cook for 15 or so folks when I get home. What to cook that won't take too long. I'm thinking something SV that I can throw on the egg.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...

@theyolksonyou "Have a bourbon slushie - I'll let you know when it's done!" That sort of thing? I like how you think. Seriously, just thinking of things that won't take hours to cook. I'm thinking steaks, paella, lasagna, or enchiladas.Coleman, Texas

I think I live too dangerously. I will put ribs on low and slow, and leave them going while I go do other things. One of these days, it is going to get me."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

@DoubleEgger - I don't think grandfathering is applicable in the case of marriage. Too many variables down the road. But every relationship is different-perhaps this one qualifies.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. Gathering weather intel for the 3 Peaks we are going to try to bag next week. The snows have started to return, so it appears gaiters and crampons will likely be needed above 12,500 ft.
Going 14,200+, so who knows what it will be up there.
Last week, from the Flatirons in Boulder, west to the Elks, 4 climbers died trying. It has been a busy season for SAR.
See you from the top, hopefully."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Those boys formed in Columbia SC...and heard them in local bars before they hit it big. Darrius takes his tour bus and parks it just outside the stadium for all home games. He is approachable and a super human being. A tribute / sculpture in five points was erected a few years back.kl8ton said:

Just made a$$es of ourselves at Paul Bunyan's all you can eat, a tradition. And it all was good, the fried chicken was perfect. Gonna need a power nap before starting the campfire.

Today's pre Pirate's Cove put-put from the rough challenge fuel, leftover campfire taters, chopped chops, egg. A really nice gentleman and his daughter were driving a truck through the campground with a bed full of sweet corn picked this morning, looked phenomenal for 5 bucks a dozen....will go great with the slated backstrap later.
