Called the power company today to switch power to our names for the new house. (We close tomorrow), they refused until "the obstruction to the meter" was cleared. How's that for embarrassing!...oh the joys of buying a short sale.
    What's the obstruction?
Bushes. Took me 2 laps around the house to find the meters myself...and 2 hours of trimming said bushes... that don't yet technically belong to me.  :o

Just ordered a new prop for the boat. And you guys think egging is expensive.. lol.
The prop was bad?  Was it stripped?  Bummer either way.
I spun the hub. I'll take it and get it rehubbed as it will be a spare moving forward. I wanted something with better performance. Ken at PropGods is the go to guy and he ran his calculations and came up with something with much less slip (8%).
Are you sure you are talking about a boat?

We tried to buy our house on a short sale. We put in an offer and one of the two different banks that had loans on the house accepted. The other bank wanted to forclose. So they ended up forclosing on it. They put the house back on the market for almost $8,000 less than our first offer. So we waited two extra weeks and bought it the day it hit the market. How any of this makes sense is beyond me. Frustrating and annoying but I guess patience is a virtue when it comes to good things.

    @WeberWho eerily similar situation here.

Relaxing before my shift .. had a busy but productive off day yesterday .

fixed the broken tail gate on the scout

Was going to tackle the leaky (bad) exhaust manifold .. however according to the scout masters I may as well be chasing my tail until I upgrade .... so upgrade ordered and will be here in 3 weeks

And I sanded, stained and polyurethaned my new bedroom furniture

I found myself in St. Louis this past weekend. My only request for the short time we had available when in town was to visit the St. Louis BBQ store. That place is awesome! The staff is top notch. I had a nice chat with the owner. I picked up a couple glow in the dark Tel-Tru thermometers before heading out the door.

I must have just missed Fishlessman

I picked up some Missouri bbq sauces

I stopped at this bbq place as it was just a few blocks from the hotel

@WeberWho - looks like a great stop.  I'm a big fan of StickyPig's jalapeno sauce.
How were the groceries at Super Smokers?
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with apple sauce and baked beans. I loved the homemade apple sauce and the beans were good. My relatives enjoyed their meals. The owner was very personable and staff was great. I never would say anything negative as I my tastes differ from others. I could only imagine what it takes to run a restaurant. One of my pet peeves is when people bad mouth restaurants for little things and than write/grade them online. I could go into detail what I would have done differently but I walked out full and had a nice meal together with family. All good in my book!

New Glarus Brewing Company was awesome.
Beautiful ride through the rollers and curves.  This was at their other site.

The main brewery, gift shop is really cool, they are expanding the tasting room as we were here.
Picked up my max of Rasberry Tart.

We picked up some "50/50" ground beef at the farmers market over the weekend from semi-local Richardson farms that supplies organic meats to many of the restaurants in Austin.  This was 50% ground beef (sirloin I believe) and 50% ground bacon.  I grilled 1/6 lb sliders tonight, they were the best burgers I've had in a looong time.  The meat was really loose and stayed that way.

No pics, but thought it worth a mention if you come across this or want to grind your own.
    Love you bro!

I've never gone 50/50, but if I have bacon or pancetta, I'll add maybe 15-20% when I grind, which is usually with brisket or chuck.  Gud schtuff.

Chops from a hog my brother had processed, are getting the standard plowboys yardbird treatment with tater and veg packets, then smores.  Winding down, a great day on the road with all three windows down smelling money, a few clicks over 200 miles.
