    Thanks Jason and Johnny. Kind of trying to digest the news myself. They found a large mass on the back of my knee. I have to get another MRI, and then depending on what they find, is what I have to deal with. The mass was in contact with nerves and blood vessels. So that is it for now. We will see what happens and deal with it as we move forward. I am ok.

    Keep Suzy in your thoughts, if you don't mind......she is still dealing with the loss of her mother and brother, as well as being swamped by her executive, accelerated education course, she is going through, and now this. Poor girl, carrying a lot right now.
    We still do not know what we are dealing with, once we do, we will figure out a way to heal.

    You've got to be kidding me. I was way past anything Wikipedia has to offer. I ended up taking a Dremel and slicing it. Collapsed the key and used a punch to drive the top side in. Had to make a cocktail of transmission fluid and acetone to break it free. PB Blaster and Liquid Wrench wouldn't work.

    That is the problem when you use the internet which then shows how to do a task with images and pictures. As soon as any Georgia Tech grad sees them, they try to use crayons to color the monitor. 

    Not likely to see any foul language offered up in those elementary school how tos, either. Pretty easy and straight forward actually. I hope nobody was there to witness his struggle with a simple woodruff key, that would have been humiliating.

    It wasGeorgia Tech right or was I mistaken? I suppose he missed the class; "Simple and Easy Repairs 101". It is my guess we better not ask him to change a light bulb either? (That is taught the second week of the course, after they teach the students how to set up a step ladder during the first week of class). 

    Just having some fun Michael. Laugh dude. those can be frustrating things to get out.

    I have done almost as bad. Not really, no, not even close. ;)

    Apparently it's pretty common on Yamaha outboards to have issues with the key. I sanded the new key a little bit and it's got a "just right" fit.

    They have a long history of those problems. Fixed a couple myself, years ago (notice term "years ago") before I said "not my expertise" (translation: eff it) and then paid heavily to have it done.
    Because it was worth it.
    No longer have a floating money pit, and have not had one in a while. Feeling pretty good about it, too.
    Bless you Michael, for doing all of this. Far better man than I. I would have taken that out to the middle of the lake, after 3 hours of messing with the WK, pulled the plugs, and swam to shore.

    The bright spot was finding out about the ATF/acetone mix as a penetrating lubricant.

    In my teens I changed out my own shocks (w/o an impact tool other than a hammer), my own muffler, never again, I'll pay the pros.  I've also rebuilt my own carbs, that was fun but nothing has carbs anymore.  
    The last "ARARRRGGHHHH!!!" job I did myself should've been soo simple: move the hinges on the frig door to the other side, (the holes are already drilled), simple right?

    Four-and-a-half hours!  Three trips to Lowe's!  Four bandaids!  TWO broken Craftsman ignition wrenches!  The food probably went bad but I was too angry and frustrated to even eat after that.  Gah!
